It is elastic drive belt 1196 J5 which means that 1196 mm is the working length based on the belt mounted on the pulleys. "J" and "H" means shape of the drive belt and finally number after word (J5) means number of teeth (could be: 4,5,6,8) .The length marked on the drive belt (1196,1217,1280 etc.) is the working length based on the belt mounted on the pulleys. For a given working length, the belts - which consist of different materials - have a different degree of elasticity. This means that, when not fitted to the appliance, their lengths may be different. It is normal that the length of a plastic belt not fitted to the pulleys is three or four centimeters greater than that of a rubber belt. Also, both types of elastic drive belt are shorter than the working length and therefore it is a little more difficult to replace but not so much that you have to lossen motor.
