Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

1 Answer

Initial setup when I turn my DS on it tells me to go through the initial setup. I go through all that and it tells me I have to reboot once and then I can play. I let it reboot but when I turn it on again it just tells me to go through the initial setup again. There was no reason for it to do this, I hadn't used it for a couple weeks then the next time I used it again it wouldn't work. We tried it with a different battery this didn't help either.

How do i reboot my xbox 360 system

Before trying this, it's highly recommend that you remove all hard drive and memory cards. Once you've removed all hard drives and memory cards, navigate to the systems tab in the main menu and select the "Initial Setup" option. Once you select the option, it will ask you if want to run the initial setup that occurred when you first started your console. Say yes and it will do its thing. When it asks for a memory card/hard drive, just decline and it should be done. You should see the default dashboard screen as confirmation that it did, in fact, rerun initial setup. hope this helps

My nephew's original xbox will not turn on it just flashes green and orange around the power button

If your system has had an internal system error (three lights) and is now having issues recognizing controllers, remotes, and/or personal music player's, the only currently know solution is to rerun initial setup.

Rerun initial setup

Resetting to factory defaults / resetting parental locks (unconfirmed)
This was posted on the xbox-scene forums and might work only with older versions of Xbox 360 dashboard.

Press the following key combination

  • Left Trigger, Right Trigger, X, Y, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Up, Left Bumper, Left Bumper, X

This should give you a dialogue asking whether or not you want to reset your system to factory default settings.

Reset Xbox 360 video settings
While the Xbox 360 is starting up, hold Y and Right trigger. This will cause the system to reboot and reset the video settings.

When turn on keeps saying needs to be setup? it never saves info.

This issue is related to the Non-Volatile memory on the DS circuit board. If you still have a warranty you need to take the unit to your local Nintendo repair center and have them repair or replace it. If your warranty has expired you might want to check out the price of the repair as it might be cheaper to replace the unit.

Hello! My PC crashed once, and i can't reboot it. It aborts while " initializing usb.. " directly after starting. (Win7)

if there are any external HDD attached unplug them before you boot.. try that first...if that doesn't work,..reboot..then press F12 or F2 ( you might have to tap-tap to get into settings ) to go into bios settings. disable boot from usb and make sure that the boot setup starts with the cd-rom first then the HDD 2nd and nothing 3rd.and if that fails... hopefully you made a back up/repair disc. use that...9/10 times it will fix what the problem is.

follow these steps for console language change

1. turn on the DS (make sure there are no games on any of the slots)
2. touch the small DS looking icon at the bottom of the bottom screen
3. touch the icon that looks like a wrench
4. touch the icon that looks like a globe
5. choose English
6. once the settings are good press B until it tells you the DS is going to shut down press ok.
7. insert the game to play
8. it should be in English now

Ds lite

I think mine had this problem. It used to boot to the settings screen, where i would select what i wanted, then it would save and power off but when i rebooted it returned to the settings screen again. I found that by sticking a supercard in it(google it), it bypassed the settings screen. Mine now works fine all the time

First DS (system you are transferring the ID from)

  1. Turn on any Nintendo WFC-compatible game and access the WFC Setup Utility. (Consult the game manual for the game you are playing for specific information.)
  2. Tap "Options."
  3. Tap "Transfer Nintendo WFC Configuration."
  4. Tap "Ok", then tap "Ok" again.
  5. Second DS (system you are transferring the ID to)

  6. Remove all games from the DS you wish to transfer the settings to, then turn the system on.
  7. On the DS's main menu, select "DS Download Play."
  8. Select "Nintendo WFC Configuration Transfer."
  9. Tap "Yes" when asked if you want to download the software. The word "Downloading..." will appear.
  10. First DS

  11. On the DS with Nintendo WFC configuration, tap "Ok" to confirm that you wish to transfer the configuration.
  12. Second DS (system you are transferring the ID to)

    • If there is an existing configuration on the new DS, tap "Ok" to confirm that you wish to overwrite the existing configuration.
    • Once the transfer begins, it will take about half a minute.

    Both DS Systems

  13. Once the configuration has been transferred, tap "Ok" to save the changes and shut each system off.

All of the Friend Codes you had given or received on the previous Nintendo DS will now work in the Nintendo DS system you transferred the ID to.

I just copied that from nintendo.com's customer service for you... it's better than how I could explain it.
