HDMI Video not working on kv-30hs420 but audio works

I have a kv-30hs420 and I'm trying to watch blu-rays through my PlayStation III. The HDMI cable is hooked up and the TV is on Video 7. I'm getting audio but no video. I've tried every setting in the menu and nothing seems to work. Suggestions?

AmigaDude posts how to reset the video to factory settings here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=766771

The instructions are as follows: 1 - Turn on TV and set input to port being used.
2 - Make sure PS3 is connected via correct cable.
3 - Power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds (release after the second beep). It should automatically configure your PS3 to the TV's native resolution for all settings.

Once reset, you'll connect your RCA cables (Red/White/Yellow) and set up the PS3 display settings. To get there from the XMB bar, go to Settings > Display Settings. You might have to disconnect the HDMI cable from the PS3 before the RCA cables work. I don't remember entirely.
Select Video Output Settings > HDMI > Automatic. If you can see the prompt about a max resoultion of 1080i (with your HDMI cable plugged in) you should be good. Select Yes and press X to continue. You can set up the audio but it's not necessary. Select Finish and you should be good.

How do I hook up my blu ray to my floor model panasonic tv

You can use an HDMI cable if both your tv and Blu-ray player have that imput. That will give you the best picture and sound. Both video and audio are carried through the one cable. Next down in quality are Component cables. You may need to use these if your tv doesn't have an HDMI input. These 3 cables are red, blue and green. They will give you the picture but no sound. This is normal . All component cables need red and white composite cables for audio. When you have made your choice of HDMI or Component, click the input button on your tv remote and scroll down to either HDMI 2 or 3 or 4(if you used an HDMI cable) or choose "component" to allow the signal to come through. Make sure you at least have the blue-ray player on so that when you do see it on the screen, you'll know which input you chose to get it to come through. Remember, after watching your Blu-ray, remember to turn your input back to your cable setting so you can watch tv again

Pioneer vsx-5231 not pairing with Phillips bdp-2175 smart bluray player

have you tried to connect the Philips direct to the TV's hdmi?

Could be the resolution on the bluray is set to 1080p which may be out of range for the receiver or even the TV for that matter. If you can reset the output resolution of the bluray to 480p first, just to establish a picture then try 720P which all HD tv's and receivers can handle.

I did a quick search and could not find the resolution reset procedure for this unit. Other units will reset if you press and hold 2 or more buttons together.

Sony Wega KV-30HS420 input problem

Just reset the TV to its factory settings and check. To do this you have to enter its service mode option. How to enter the service mode option is described in one among the posts at the site linked here.
But, before doing this reset, just connect the HDMI cable to the TV, and input an HDMI signal to it. If there is no input signal, the set will display as 'no input'. Check this first. If you wish to get further assistance from me, come over by FiXya comment.

No video via hdmi from blu ray

Have you attempted swapping out the HDMI cable for a different one? I recently had a similar problem and I determined that the HDMI cable was faulty. Now everything works fine.
