Question about Cycling

1 Answer

Bell F20 When I bike lower than 20km/hr the computer thinks that I am not biking but resting so it does not calculate distance and time. If I bike faster than 20km/hr the computer calculates time and distance again.

My bike computer is not calculating distance or average speed. The clock is the only display function working. Battery is not the problem. The message from the transponder is not getting through to the...

Without input from the wheel sensor it will not calculate anything. If it's wireless maybe it lacks a good line of sight or it's too far away. Take it off the handlebar, prop the bike so you can spin the wheel and hold the computer close to the transponder to see if it indeed CAN see it. Then work out the distance or line of sight issue.

Don't fixate on your computer once you get it working. I destroyed a bike frame when I crashed while watching my first bike computer at the end of a ride.

Lost my manual and am trying to reset my bell f20.

Somewhere in the configuration program is the option; if you can't find it it in the instructions, that's probably because it doesn't have this option, in which case, you should try and trade the bike comp. off for an American-built one. (guaranteed to have MPH)

I do not think the magnet and mounting bracket on my Bell f20 Bike Computer are aligned properly, but can't find an image of what it is supposed to look like. Thermometer and clock work fine. No other...

Many mounting brackets have an alignment mark on the sensor that should be aligned with the center of the magnet. The distance between the sensor and magnet is also critical, usually needs to be 1-2 mm.

Bell f20 resetting trip odomoter DST

Did an obsessive search of this problem and found this: "Right Button" . . . click to display the "DST" (distance) than hold the "LEFT Button" for 2 seconds. YEAH!! Reset trip ONLY!! This problem is simply an error in the instruction manual. ~G~

Bell f20 computer - no code for 25'' wheels?

when i first got mine it prompted me to enter the circumference of my tire in millimeters (mine was 2074mm). you can get back to this by holding the bottom button in the center (this button is really two buttons one on the left side the other on the right side; holding the center pushes both these buttons). when it rests you'll see the 4 digit numbers. i think u use the right button to change the number and the left to move to the next. remember the number represents your tires circumference in millimeters. for a quick approx use this calculation (Tire Diameter)X(3.14)X(25.4). So for me it was (26in)X(3.14)X(25.4) = 2074mm
