The battery compartment may not be making proper contact with the batteries. This can cause the batteries to drain quickly or not work at all. Make sure the batteries are properly seated in the compartment and that the terminals are making good contact with the batteries. The watch may have a faulty component that is draining the batteries. This could include the display, processor, or other electronics in the watch. If the watch is under warranty, you can try contacting G-shock customer service for assistance. The watch may have been damaged during the repair process. If the watch was mishandled or damaged during the repair, it could have caused a problem with the battery compartment or other components of the watch. To troubleshoot the problem, you can try the following steps: Check the battery compartment: Make sure the batteries are properly seated and making good contact with the terminals. Clean the terminals and the inside of the compartment with a soft cloth if necessary. Check for faulty components: If the watch is under warranty, you can try contacting G-shock customer service for assistance. They may be able to help you diagnose and repair any faulty components. Check for damage: Inspect the watch for any visible damage that may have occurred during the repair process. If you find any damage, you may need to take the watch to a different repair shop for further evaluation and repair.
I fix watches as a hobby, and I had a few that corrected this by replacing the battery. If that does not work then the quartz movement probably got wet. you would have to pop the case open remove the movement and clean it gently with a q-tip. You will also be able to see if the issue is with the plastic case that can probably be faded from wear or moisture. The plastic case can be cleaned with a q-tip with alcohol. Be careful not to get any liquids, magnets or dirt near the movement. I hope this helps! Marcelo
please ckeck the crown of your analog time if it is pressed down, if it is pressed it is possible that even if it is a brand new watch, the battery has no power at all.. it is maybe that your newly purchased watch is been in its selling showcase fo a long time, so that the watch movement consume all the power of the analog's battery.. you have to replace the battery of your analog., Note: your watch has three batteries. I hope this will help..
I just figured this out. When you replace the batteries, there's the white plastic cover secured with two screws. Remove them and you'll see an area with two exposed 'pads' that says 'reset'. Simply touch them together with a paperclip, screwdriver or whatever and the watch starts right up. :)
many of these watches require 2 batteries. One for the analog and one for the digital. I would contact a jewelry store to make sure they will change your batteries; since the watch was free to you it will surely be worth the price of new batteries to get it working.
Also, some models do take only one battery but if it is not at a full charge you may have the issue you described.
If not a battery issue, then there are other detailed steps to follow (the jeweler should be able to help you.)
Note: I recommend contacting an independant jeweler (non-chain and non-mall store) because most non-independants will not change batteries in watches they don't sell.
A lot of times they hide a second battery for the analog display under the larger battery used to run the digital display. Also, the 2025 may not have a full charge.
Check your users manual if your watch have two batteries. If yes, you need to replace digital part battery.
If your watch has only one battery, your digital screen or plate is defective. Bring it back to the retailer and ask to replace for the decently working watch.
But first of all try to fiddle with all pushbattons- sometimes it helps.
Hears how i do my watch, i have the same watch as you.Just make sure nothing is displayed on the clock face by turning the winder, ie NO digital time, NO daul time, NO alarm, NO stop watch etc, Pull out the winder(crown) and adjust the hands to the time you require by spinning the winder.(Gentley for mins and fast for hours) The digital clock will display wilst doing this, but not change the time.handy if you want to sync both clocks.Push the winder back in at the time to sync and the digital display will go out, then spin the winder again if you want to display the digital features. I hope this helps, please post if it does, Maurice Chevalier- Herts
The watch is scrolling through the seconds, and is not something that needs to be set. If there is a bottom it is only there to change the way the seconds are scrolling? There are many different types of these, but most are just standard seconds.
