Question about Troy Bilt Tb70ss Gas Trimmer
Put a new bump know and head on my 4cycle Troy and the I can get it to stop spinning out the line. I check the tech drawing in manual and all parts are there and in the proper orderl.
The majority of the time excessive string feed is caused by one or a combination of one or more of the following:
String wound backwards. Seems simple enough, but happens to the best of us.
Missing or improper spring.
Lubrication ANYWHERE on the shaft or inside the bump head assembly. This item should be clean and dry..but never lubricated.
If you know the model number on your particular trimmer, that would assist in troubleshooting.
I hope this helps.
