Where can I find schematics for this reel? I need gear housing with rod plate but don't know the part number.

to open the reel and access the worm gear cog ( the gear that actually drives the level wind ) you will need to remove the handle, the star drag assembly, the side plate screws etc. Before you do all of that look directly at the front of the reel beneath the level wind face plate is the worm gear pawl ( the tooth that actually rides in the level wind gear itself ) there is a cap with a flat head screw driver slot in it, remove the cap ( if you can access it with the face plate on other wise youll have to go thru the steps previously mentioned) and carefully tap the reel until the pawl itself falls out there will also be a very small washer that goes inside the cap. Inspect the pawl for defects like chips on the points that ride in the gear. also inspect the worm gear it self, debris that gets lodged in the gear from regular use can chip the ends off of the pawl which will cause the pawl to stick to one side or in extreme cases stop working all together. It is possible that the worm gear cog ( located in side the reel ) is damaged but almost every reel with this issue that I have repaired (100's of them) is caused by a damaged pawl or worm gear it self Dark Side Reelz

Brian Neil here from Dark Side Reelz, the washers that feel off sound like they are the spacing washers responsible for the travel height of the spool. If they came off the main shaft immediately after you removed the spool it self that has to be what they are. on the shaft under the spool itself there should be a small gear that the washers sit on, the gear controls the clicker on the drag if this reel in fact has one. I did a quick search of my schematics and did not find a match if the schematic didn't come in the original boxing chances are youre going to need to contact the manufacturer directly. Go to the shimano website, at the very bottom of the page is written contact us. Call the number and a rep will hook you up.

The long spring (only one in the reel) goes under the bail arm plate. To get it back in, remove the plastic cover plate on the side that pickes up the line (has a line roller on that side). The spring will fit over a small metal or plastic post and rest in a cavity at the bottom.
Screw the cover back on and you're good to go!

Make sure the drag plates and drag washers go in correctly or the drag will not work very well.
If you are using braided superline, make sure there is monofilament backing under the line otherwise the braided line will slip on the spool arbor, tricking you into thinking the drag is shot.
