Question about Sewing Machines

1 Answer

I have a model # AD50USS2 whirlpool dehumidifier. It was working great and then all of the sudden, it shuts itself off. Every time I turn it on, it shuts off after a minute. I cleaned the filter. There is no ice build up and it is draining into the bucket. Why is it turning itself off?

Either it shuts off because it is too dry in the room, is overheating, or is pulling too much power for some reason. I would leave it sit for an hour or two and just clean it good and let it cool down if it is warm and then try it again. You may also have a bad sensor if it is damp in the room but lets let it sit for a couple hours first and see if it starts to work again.

Before replacing parts, I have a question. Does the fan blow on the unit for that one minute that it works? Does it operate normally basically is what I am saying

One more thing, please try opening the unit fully up and seeing if anything looks out of the ordinary. I want you to be able to see the control board and everything. The outer body will be removed for this. If it is dusty and dirty, clean it the best that you can. Make sure you have it unplugged and also see if any capacitors have a top the is bulging out especially the one connected to the fan motor.

A few diagrams and parts can be seen here and it will give you a reference to look at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir...

Apparently, where power cord comes into housing /stress relief has worked loose. If cord is user serviceable(probably not) UNPLUG UNIT while servicing.Might be as simple as interior stress relief has worked loose, but again, unplug unit while tightening this. Are you using a foot treadle?? also, power cord itself may be bad.

Husqvarna #1 sewing machine powers on, then cuts off

Can you turn the handwheel without a great deal of effort? If so, it sounds to me like your motor may be drawing excessive current and the machine is shutting off so as not to burn out the circuits.

Wont turn on

Has is turned on since then? If you were sewing for a prolonged period of time, or you encountered something like it hit a thick seam by accident, the machine will shut down for a period of time to protect itself. Just turn the switch off and take a break--it WILL go on again, generally between 10 minutes to two hours, depending on what caused it to shut down in the first place. If it doesn't go on again, you may have blown a transformer--which can be replaced.

Hyundai Sewing Machine not sewing all of a sudden

Does the light work? Does the motor make noise? Does the hand wheel turn? If the hand wheel turns does the needle move up and down? As you can see you need to be very specific before we can help you. There are another dozen questions you could save me asking with a better description of your problem. Have a great day.

My Riccar vaccum suddenly quit working

I have a feeling that you don't have it put together quite right. Open up the bag area and look around the edges for a switch for button that the enclosure depresses. (something like the thing that turns on and off the refrigerator light)

Good luck

USB drive does not regularly read the USB flash

I have a Designer I USB that suddenly started not reading the usb stick that came with the machine. I was terrified that my machine was going bad, but I always start with the cheapest solution first. I bought a new usb stick, loaded the designs from the old one into my software then loaded everything on the new usb stick. My machine reads it every time so far. I replaced the usb stick about 3 months ago and have not had another problem since. I don't know if this is your problem, but usb sticks can go bad and since they are so cheap, I would try this first.

Machine will not stitch

It is either a top or bottom tension problem. Top tension speaks for itself. Most folks do not know that there is the facility on the bobbin case to alter the bottom tension. Your user manual will tell you how to do this. It is very difficult to describe how to do it you need diagrams or to be shown
