Are you getting continuous spark? bad electronic module? check spark first. should be continuous. do you have oil pressure...some vehicles won't run if oil pressure is not there.

My 1996 Ford explorer it was running fine the day before, it won't start. Seems like it wants to start. I plugged the code reader up and it wont connect. I'm stumped.

Check all fuses includeing main fuse if all good. While cranking check for spark if spark present check for fuel pressure , if no spark test coil if coil is good I would suspect a bad computer if no fuel pressure you have a bad fuel pump

2002 Sunfire with 2.2 ECOTEC Car acted like it ran out of gas. Would crank, run roughly a few seconds, then again acted like it ran out of gas. The next day and the next 3 days it has performed...

have the fuel pressure and volume tested with a gage.this sounds and acts like a fuel pump problem.check the fuel filter as well and replace anyways.when it won`t start but cranks can you hear the fuel pump running.listen at the fuel filler neck with the gas cap off.if you can`t listen under the car at the fuel tank you should hear it running/if not hit the gas tank and if the car starts then the pump needs replacing.you should check to make sure you are getting spark at the spark plugs to eliminate an ignition problem but i think its fuel.

I have a 1999 gmc suburban that runs doggy, sometimes after it sits for 4-5 hrs it takes 10 cranks to start, after its started it keeps starting. it also runs doggy, replaced the fuel pump and the fuel...

You could have a faulty fuel pressure regulator of a bad CSFI. Here is a link you may interest you to getting your Suburban running 100% again soon.

Quit and won't start

Does it make any sound when you try to start it? Quite often helpful to know. I've helped start a number of vehicles by tapping on the solenoid--sometimes the teeth get off by a bit and a tap gets them back--usually a specific noise if that's the prob... The two main things that keep a car from starting--battery and fuel. Hopefully when you installed the battery, you cleaned the connections real well--sometimes they look fine, but can't get a connection. #2, check the fuel filter, simple thing to overlook, again it can seem like it's fine, but it's clogged, may or not affect the pressure.

Beyond this--try these, much more detail than I'd want to type here.
