Toshiba no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key

try booting from a Windows installation disc. Choose the repair installation option. If this does not work, you may have to erase (format) your whole drive and start over again by reinstalling Windows from scratch.

Before erasing the drive, you might want to pull it out, put as a second drive in another working computer or inside a USB hard drive case and download all of your information from it. Otherwise you may have a mess on your hands with lost data/documents/photos.

Installation problems for keyboards/mice in XP

Removing the software and reinstalling it using a "clean boot" may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. Booting clean is a way to eliminate programs from conflicting with installation of software.

1. Download the latest version of the software for your OS from the manufacturer's website.
2. Open the Windows Control Panel.
3. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
4. Locate the listing for the keyboard/mouse software and remove it. When prompted to remove the keyboard/mouse drivers files, click Yes.

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot' in Windows XP:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next, do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Hopefully, you should not have any problem now.

Scroll not working on aspire 5720z

Instructions

1

Take a close look at the Acer laptop mouse buttons. Make sure the exterior of the buttons are clean and that there is no grime around the edges and crevasses of the Acer buttons. Dirt on top of the mouse pad can result in slower performance or an unresponsive experience, while grime around the sides of the mouse buttons can cause problems with the pressing and depressing of the mouse.
2

Is there any way your mouse pad has been turned off? Check into this possibility. On an Acer laptop, hitting the "Function" (Fn) key and "F7" on the key board will result in the mouse pad being switched off. Hence, you may have hit this function and your mouse pad may not actually be broken or require any repair. Hitting the "Fn" button and the "F8" key on the Acer keyboard will result in the mouse pad being turned back on again.

3

Click on the "Printers and Other Hardware" option on your PC. This is an alternative method to the above. At this point, examine the menu that comes up and click on the button at the top that reads "Device Settings." You should then see an option to click on your Acer mousepad. Highlight this option and click "OK."
4

Launch your Web browser and go to the official Acer website. The above steps may not have worked, so downloading new drivers for your mouse may be necessary.
5

Select your country of origin, then click on "Support." You will be asked to click on your country again. After you do so, click on the link that says "Drivers and Downloads" on the left sidebar.
6

Select your product line ("Notebooks") as well as your specific Acer computer model, and then hit "Search." Click on the link that says "Touchpad drivers." Your Acer computer may only require new drivers for your mousepad. Download the .exe file and run it to install the contents to your Acer computer.
7

Restart your Acer computer after fully completing the download and installation process. Once the restart process has completed, the driver installation will be complete and your mouse should work again.

Hi there!
There can be several reasons why you are getting this error message. First, make sure that your user account is an administrator account. If you are sure that your account is an admin, follow this steps:
1. Choose Run from the Start menu. type %Temp% and click OK. delete all files inside the temp directory 3. Click again on run from start menu. Type cmd and hit Enter. 3. Drag iTunesSetup.exe from the Desktop into the C:\\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe window. 4. Add a space and then this text: /extract %TEMP% 5. Press return/enter. This will extract three Windows installer packages into your TEMP directory. 6. Navigate back to your TEMP directory. 7. Launch the AppleSoftwareUpdate Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation. 8. Launch the QuickTime Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation. 9. Launch the iTunes Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation.

I do not my computers oprated

Hi,
You have easily operate your computer. The steps given below....

Materials Needed:
- CPU
- keyboard
- monitor
- mouse
- speakers
- printer
- Operating System Step 1 :- Prior to powering up the computer system, make sure that the power cord is firmly connected to the back panel of the CPU and is plugged into the wall socket. Step 2 :- Check if the video cable is firmly screwed to the port of the video card with the other end connected to the back panel of the monitor. Step 3 :- Make sure that both the keyboard and mouse pointing device are securely plugged to the back panel. Also, check if they are connected to the correct port by checking on the markings. Steps 1 to 3 are essentially easy to do because aside from the mouse and keyboard devices, other components can only be plugged into their proper ports preventing the novice user from interchanging them. Step 4 :- When all connections are secure, start up the machine by pressing the power button normally located in the front panel of the CPU. Step 5 :- Depending on the configuration of the machine, a username and password may be requested; otherwise, the Operating System may be loaded directly to display the desktop to the user. Step 6 :- Other basic operations that can be done include adjusting monitor settings in Step 8. Installation and launching of software is outlined in Step 10. Navigation of the file system is detailed from Step 15. Step 7 :- The proper way to shut down or turn off the computer system is by clicking on the “Start” button and choosing the “Turn Off Computer” option. This will display the options to “Standby”, “Restart”, or “Turn Off” the machine. Step 8 :- To adjust the monitor settings, right click on any blank portion of the desktop and select the “Properties” option from the context menu. Step 9 :- On the “Display Properties” window, select the “Settings” tab to adjust the resolution of the screen. The “Themes” tab will allow the loading of pre-designed Windows themes. The “Desktop” tab provides the way for changing the color of the desktop as well as the displayed wallpaper. The “Appearance” tab provides the various options of changing the behavior of the windows, icons, and other elements of the platform, while the “Screen Saver” tab shows the option to allow the monitor to go on standby or display animation. Step 10 :- To extend the functionality of any computer system, software is normally installed into the local hard drive. A software installer may be through some media like a CD or DVD or from being downloaded from the Internet. Step 11 :- For CD or DVD installers, insert the installation disk in the CD or DVD drive of the machine. This will be automatically read and launched by the Operating System. Step 12 :- When the installation process is initiated, a new window will normally be displayed to the user. Majority of newer installers provide either a default or an advanced installation procedure. In most cases, simply click on the default process to allow the installer to complete the entire process with minimum user intervention. Step 13 :- Upon completion of the installation process, a user may be prompted to reboot the machine. Follow the guide in Step 7 to accomplish this task. Step 14 :- To launch the software, simply click on the “Start” Menu, choose “All Programs” and select from the menu the program intended to be run. An alternative to this process is to check if a shortcut link is created on the Desktop. Clicking this icon will also launch the associated program Thanks

Wireless keyboard problem

just called Logitech support (who were more than helpful, very friendly, and picked up the phone within 5 minutes).
I have an MX3000 laser combo set and the receiver lost connection to the mouse last week. Then the keyboard went out a few nights ago. I had tried what everyone else here had tried to no avail.
So I decided to give a tech support line the benefit of the doubt and call one...
I'm very glad I did!
Here is the entire process for the Left Ctrl + Left Alt + F12 keys. First, when you hit these keys together, a box should pop up on screen to prompt you to reset the encryption sequence. That is what these keys are for. If nothing pops up on your screen (as was my case!), wait a few minutes for the button sequenece to time out, then hit these keys again. Make sure its L-Ctrl + L-Alt + F12 only. Within 2 seconds after that button combo, hit connect on the receiver. Within 2 seconds of that hit connect on the underside of the keyboard. Within 2 seconds of that, hit your Escape key on the keyboard. Sounds completely ridiculous, but this is the direction Logitech support drove me in. And it worked for me. And this is after I tried everything imaginable for over the past week.
We then moved on to the mouse, which i thought we had fixed. But now i have one working and one not working, so I think I need to re-run through this whole process to fix the second mouse. Basically, I now have 1 mouse that works on both receivers, on 2 different pc's with 2 different keyboards in two different rooms (both sets are MX3000 however).
The other now seems to have lost the signal. Will update if I get that second mouse to play nicely with me.
Hope this helps anyone about to trash a perfectly good unit like I was!
