Get 1 10" sub and a crossover and you can get the sound you are looking for.

Hi, I just purchased an Apline CDE 147 and installed the head unit in my car but keeps making this noise, sounds kind of like a static noise, can you help tell me what I might have done wrong or how can I...

How did you install the head unit? Did you use a wire harness adapter or do it yourself? How are the connections made? It could be several things so more information is needed. Is the sound present with the volume off and coming from all speakers or just one? Does it get louder the more your turn the volume up?

Have you tried the balance and fader control?
Also make sure the ground or - negative wire has a good connection for that speaker from the back of the unit. Or it could be the internal amplifier it self.

Sound from drivers door speaker in my truck.

check your speaker wire, sounds like the insulation is cut somewhere and thewire is grounding out. that is why the crackling and low sound. your speaker wire is grounding out or wire is broken, start at the speaker and follow wire to find the break

did you get subs? is that drownding the factory speakers out?? if so you will need to replace them with aftermarket and a 4ch amp, just running an amp to the stock speakers will cook them in seconds

No sound from speakers

Check the value of the fuse for the power feed, it could be that the fuse is to low. The unit uses 10A min. I suggest a 25A fuse. here's a manual http://inform2.kenwoodusa.com/manuals%5CKDC1028.pdf Luck

HU Shuts Down - "Protect" Blinking

if it is only doing it over 30 then you need to turn down the bass level on the deck and make up for it with the subs sounds like its putting out too much juice. also if your car has a factory amp for your door speakers ect make sure that your factory speakers are the same ohms as the cd player which is 4ohm ,most fancier car speakers are 2 ohm. if that is the case the amp on the cd player is going in to protect mode to prevent frying your factory amp if you have one. check all your wiring from the cd player to the car and make sure it is all properly hooked up and there are no crosed wires. or wire hooked up incorrectly. also make sure the amp wiring kit is big enough gauge for the amp. make sure its not the amp that runs your subs that is cutting off the HU.
