I have a Master Cool cooler and thermostat and I have never seen this before. Lights 7 and 8 are blinking red. What does this mean?

If the light is on and no fan or compressor is running then its your thermostat that is bad. That's the only thing that turns on those parts. As you said the unit is new you should contact your dealer either to replace it.

It sounds like the thermostat is bad and needs changed.

this means that the rollout switch was tripped by a flame coming from burners. could be a plugged fue or bad inducer motor, or a bad rollout switch. the fan will not shut off as a safety feature it keeps running incase the heat exchanger is to hot to keep a fire from starting. it will shut off after disconnecting power and restarting everything. watch the flames from burner when it lights to see if the actually roolout of the burner box toward the rollout sensor.

Yesh...4 red lights means you didn't have the component or hdmi pluged into the system and tv. 3 lights means there is some soldering problem in your 360. 2 lights means your 360 is overheated. For the 2 lights normally you can fix that with letting it cool for a while and give it some room around the system to run cooler. However by using the towel trick you you caused the soldering to run and now it's probibly miss soldered. I recommend you ship to Microsoft or sell it.

When someone say that his/her Xbox is having Blinking red light problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your Xbox's blinking red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.

The xbox keeps blinking the red light and it doesn't show anithyng on the screen.

Hey, I have had this same problem, and the red light if blinking means that the ps3 is overheated. Give i t some rest and it will cool off, or buy an external cooler. Hope i helped

When the three red lights are blinking, that means that there is a hardware failure. If your console is under warranty, than you can call 18004MYXBOX, and they will fix it for you for free( including shipping). By the way all of the consoles are under a 2 year warranty for this problem so it will be free.
