Tv wont stay on . i changed the color wheel and bulb and now it turns on then shuts it self off right away and the lamp light is flashing still

When you changed the lamp did you clean the "lamp temp sensor"? When you removed the lamp housing from its cradle, you can access it from where lamp goes. It can be cleaned with a Q-tip.

Also, there is a little blue safety switch that is located on bottom right of the light engine tray. It MUST be in the DOWN position when the TV back is reattached to TV. You can use tape to hold it in the DOWN position while attaching the back of set.

Also after replacing your lamp did you reset the lamp life?, You can do this by:
    1-TV off
2-press mute+1+8+2+Power. This will access factory settings.
3-scroll to "Options". Press right arrow to next menu. scroll to "lamp life" hit right arrow and click reset.
    4-power off.

That resets the lamp life hour meter.

on my XU 55 the trick to read the lamp hours is to press and hold down the power button in about 20 seconds when the projector is turned on. there will come a window in the upper left corner that tells about total hours and lamp hours. the window will disappear quite fast, so one might need to do it twice.
