Do some research on your router you are looking for "MAC address" page or option within the router settings. Your device should come with a MAC address, try entering the devices MAC Address into the router page, apply the settings. Router should reboot and after rebooting your device you should have a constant internet connection.
I own a linksys router that will only allow internet to other devices by entering the devices MAC ADdress into the router.
1. check your windows firewall settings 2. check the router wireless access list in the router see if the devices are listed if not list them by MAC address ( media access control ) number.
Hi tissa,
I see you are unable to connect to your Access Point as noted on the question provided.
First console cannot connect to an Access point if it is Password protected.
You will need to disable the Password or Network Access key from your Router to be able to get your DSi to connect to your Access Point freely.
To get security with your Nintendo DSi connecting to your Access Point in your Router setting you can enable the MAC Address filtering and get your devices MAC addresses and have it registered or input in your Routers MAC Address Filtering to be able to get your DSi connected wireless and at the same time have your Laptops and other wireless devices connected.
for the MAC address you can call you Internet Service provider on the issue to give you detailed info on how to access you Router settings for the said connection.
I hope that this will help.
Thank you fo choosing Fixya,

Dear,I had the same problem with my iPod. It's because (I guess) your modem/router has MAC adress filtering. You need to get your ipod full acces through you MAC filtering. To know your iPod's MAC adress, go to: Settings > General > Info > (scroll down) Wi-Fi Address. If you give me some more info 'bout your router/modem, I'll search some more info. Kind regards, FriskYR

you have to install the proper driver for Lan card you are using ...probably at installing the windows installed a driver for the card but is not the driver that this card is using ...so ..if you have the driver on the cd ..just install it ..and redo the settings to connect ...the tcp ip protocol for lan t1 cable...or the automatic ip for dsl modem ...anyway even with the wrong drivers it is showing conected and working ..but the packets are not sent ...you can wathc this in the window that pop up when you click on tray system icon .. another issue is if you changes the LAN card recently ... or you changed the pc ...and u used to have a nother IP based ( static ip ...) you have to call the provider and comunicate the new MAC address on your computer .. if yo can not get in touch with your provider ..but you know that you have an Ip ;subnet mask ;default gateway ; and servers ..that you set every time ...this means that your mac address have to be changed either on the provider or look on the net and download a patch named MadMac..or MAC make-up ..this will help you to cl;one the mac adress on your lan card in such way that the provider will see it like the old one ...all you have to know is the old card mac adress in order to clone it .. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Misc-Networking-Tools/Mac-Makeup.shtml remember ..this with the mac address thing should be done just if you changed card or comnputer and you have a Mac-ip re;lation with your iSP
In MAC Address binding, you should put the actual MAC Address of the iPod not the IP Address, they are different. Normally the MAC Address of the device can be seen on the sticker at the back of the device. Another way to identify the MAC address is go to Menu/Settings of the device and look for Device/System Information. MAC Adress usually have 12 hexadecimal characters (6 pairs). Now locate the MAC address of your device and enter that in the MAC Address Binding settings. That should work.
go to network setting then assist me , select default location after completing it . go to advance setting then check dns server and add the server ip adress in it save the settings check it is working.
