Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP 5610 all-in-one died during setup and will not power up.

I know that the power supply and adapter work OK, as I used them on my HP psc 1610. I'm thinking fuse or something similar but I can find no documentation, such as a service manual.

There is no internal fuse in HP printers with external PSU adapter, just resistors soldered onto internal pcb.
If the printer has no power at all, and the power adapter voltage reads correctly on plug from AC adapter to the printer, then the most common is a broken solder joint on the internal DC socket contacts. The printer must be taken apart and the contact soldered again.
Sometimes the printer controller board may be faulty , in that case the board can be replaced ordering the spare from HP , or fixed at component level. If this is the case, depending on the age of the printer , it may not be worth repairing.
Regards.
