Hp printer is not working

I understand that this printer is a usb printer. All you should have to do is start windows and then plug the printer into your computer's usb port. Windows should recognize the printer and install it.

If this doesn't work you should unplug the usb cable and install the printer software. After you install the software it should recognize the printer when you plug the cable back in. If not you may even have to reboot before it does see the printer.

You can also try going to control panel, printers and faxes and click on add printer. Follow the instructions in the window that pops up and you should come to a window that will tell you to insert the software disk. Insert the disk in your CD drive and click ok. It should walk you through the rest.
