Pull out the toner cartridge

The top part is black and the bottom assembly is grey

I have a Xerox XC820. I am getting dark copies with residual images from previous copies. Toner appears to be adhering to the drum cartridge. Do I need a new drum cartridge?

I have a Xerox xc820. The drum kit needed to be replaced, which I did as well as put in a new toner cartridge. The pages are now coming out very dark. Prior to putting in the new drum kit and new toner cartridge, the machine ran fine. I have tried all I know how to do and to no avail. Have cleaned the "wire", all the parts I can get to and cleaned the plate. Any help would be appreciated.

Unit has about 20k copies. Just replaced toner and drum. Keep getting "drum error", and tells me to take out drum and slide blue tab back and forth, which I do. Then when I put the drum back...

Install the drum unit and toner cartridge
assembly in the machine.
Press Options.
To confirm you are installing a new
drum, press 1.
When the LCD shows Accepted, close
the front cover.

If this doesnt correct it after installing the new drum return it to the store you got it from and get a new one could be defective

When printing with my Brother MFC, the pages are dark.

Did you change the toner cartridge with a new genuine oem cartridge?
Do a report print <settings> page from the menu and check the 'Drum life' Bar graph. If close to, or at 0%, get a new Drum unit

Ricoh fax 3310, when printing has dark background on left side, new drum has been installed.

Ricoh's Support suggests reseating the toner cartridge or re-distributing the toner inside the cartridge. This makes sense since you're experiencing darkness only on 1 side of the page. I hope this helps you with your issue and wish you the Best of Luck!

Error 7C

There's no manual for "machine error 7C" in Bro IntelliFax 4100. To fix this issue. You will need to pull out the toner. Note: the toner and drum are connected.....At the left corner of the drum. You will see a blue tab......You will need to slide the blue tab back and forth for 20th times....And put the toner back in its place.....This is just a temp fix but you need to replace the drum to have it working its fullest......

PRINTING PROBLEMS

Have you tried a New Drum Cartridge?
It sounds like the drum cartridge is bad. Do you know how old the drum cartridge is or how many copies are on it?
If you take the drum cartridge out (Do not tip this upside down or touch the drum) you should be able to see a shiny long cylinder called the drum underneat the unit. Does it look like its covered with toner?
If it is covered with toner, then the cartridge needs to be replaced and that will take care of your problem with the dark copies.
If its not covered, then it could be a dirty optics which would require for your machine to be serviced. But 99 out of 100 times its the drum cartridge.

Hope this helps.
good luck.

Printing pages dark

The cartridge itself needs to be replaced, threre is a blade called the drum cleaning blade which scrapes toner off the Drum(blue roller) it is not cleaning the excess toner.
