Okay I've had the the alpine mrp-m500 amp for a little over a year and yesterday my subwoofers stopped working for no reason, i parked turned car off and back on worked for about 5 seconds and they shut off again... the light is still blue on the amp and it is getting power... any ideas?

sub spec 250watts per coil you should be just fine I have 2 typr 15s on orion hcca 2500 1 and it kicks a$$ thats 1000 watts over the rated limits of the subs only shut the amp down once these subs can take a lot more power than they say just use your common sence with the volume and gain levels

have your amp tested and is the sub 4 ohm or run to 2 ohm

Fuses?

• make sure the subwoofer level is up on the head unit.
• Make sure the RCA cables are good.
• Make sure the remote wire is connected and has 12v+ when the head unit is on.

If the remote wire is not turning on the amp, its not going to work. To hot wire it to see if thats the problem, just run 12v+ to the remote jack. That will turn on the amp.

Try making sure your sound input to the amp is good (could be a bad output from the radio or RCA cable), could also be a bad input from the amp, bad outputs from the amp or even a bad sub. You have to check each of these and eliminate the problem. I would make sure you have a good audio signal to the amp first.

CHECK YOUR SPEAKER SEEM LIKE YOUR SPEAKER IS BAD SO DISCONNECT THE SPEAR AND TURN ON AMP IF THIS DONT HAPPEN CHECK YOUR SPKER

check sloder conection in amp. if your amp is in trunk it copuld have over heayed and mealted the metal.

Have you tried checking the remote wire yet? Because it could very possibly be that. Without a remote wire hooked up, you cannot get any power. Try that and see if it works.
