The TV won't turn on

Check the fuse in the power plug April. If that is ok check the internal fuse the set may have. If that is ok and the set does not turn at all, i.e. does not show any power indicators such as lights, check the circuit breakers. If all of those are ok you need to contact a technician to ascertain whether power is getting to the power board.
You can do the basic checks yourself but may need the services of a professional if the obvious things are not the culprit.

GOOD LUCK

Dishwasher LG no lights no power

I am sure you tried the obvious (circuit breaker on)...but have you tried resetting the motherboard cpu. Sometimes a simple power off at fuse box...wait 1 minute and then power on can reset it. If this fails, the internal fuse has probably failed. If you are brave, open the inside of the door and access the board. Inspect for failed (cartridge) fuse and for any obvious signs of a burned component in the power-feed area. (PLEASE be sure that the power is removed from the dishwasher before attempting this!) If nothing obvious is found, call the LG service folks, tell them the problem and ask for a fix or a service technician recommendation. Depending on the age of the unit, it may be repaired under warranty.

AOC Envision L32w761 TV. Lightning strike. Now nothing. Power light won't come on. Checked power to the Power Supply board and have it fine. Replaced TV and everything in the system looks OK. Bad TV...

If you are certain you have a lightning surge, almost anything can take down your TV. First check the obvious, do you have power coming out of the wall. Is the surge protector good, if you used one? If you have answered yes to the these questions, you may have acquired a power surge in your TV. You may not find it in your TV. As I have said it may be anywhere in the TV. You will need to take this TV to an authorized service center. It would be difficult for anyone out side a technician to find the problem. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Hi, using my amp for a long period on new years eve and the amp suddenly died. I've changed the plug fuse and checked internal glass fuse, both ok.Cant see anything obvious I.e. burning or over heating...

There's only one way to check the transformer and that's with a voltmeter. If there is mains going in but nothing coming out of the secondary, then that fuse has gone. They are not designed to be replaced and Transformers are what the trade call 'Safety Parts'. So they have to be replaced with the same thing. I would contact Teac and find out if they still do make them or where you can get one from.

Fuse blows right away when powered on... either my power line fuse or my amp fuse. I have a kenwood amp atm and it doesn't blow the power line fuse so it has something to do with the phoenix gold amp....

Verify that there are no obvious shorts in the supply power to the amp. It is likely that a major short is in the amp itself therefore the fuse blows immediately. Check the internal areas of the amp for obvious signs of a short. If you are not familiar with this consult more qualified help. This may also be of help to you:

Marantz pm7200 hdam, will not power up, checked internal fuses all ok, over rid the internal power-on rely and power amp powers up but pre amp circuit still dead, any idea, power panel look fine but...

The preamp stage might be dead. Not much you can do but to bring it in. Make sure the input selector is on the right input.
Sometimes there's a "Monitor input" usually Tape2 input that overrides everything

NO POWER

1 the obvious question.... have you tried a known working outlet. 2. Most likely the internal fuse has failed and must be replaced. You can access this fuse by removing 4 side panel screws, (2 on each side) and 6 rear chassis cover screws. BEFORE you start unplug the unit. Remove the 10 screws. Standing behind the unit, then lift the top cover slightly and pull toward you. the side guide tabs wil unlock and the cover will come free. Once the chassis open aviod the large capacitor as it can still ruin your day. Follow the power cord until you see the fuse block. Remove the fuse... obtain an EQUAL value replacement and install the new fuse. reinstall the cover making sure the side guide tabs interlock on the front sides of the chassis. Plug the unit in and see if you have any signs of power.... I.e light on with door open or control panel dispaly lights up. If you have visible signs of power places a coffee cup filled with water inside the microwave and see it it heats up. If it starts and then all the power goes off again you probably have a bad diode. If it works fine then your in luck.

Problem

If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.

Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.

Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
