Question about Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera
I too am having the same problem. I even sent it back to Canon who said they fixed it and the same low battery message appears. I don't understand what is wrong and why this can't be fixed. I've gone thru dozen of batteries and clearly it is not a battery problem. Can I send it back yet again to get fixed once more. I don't want to buy another one since this is only a year old to begin with.
I had this same problem. I tried this procedure and it seems to have worked so far:
1. run a set of batteries down in the camera so the voltage is so low the camera won't even power up fully.
2. put some cheap (non-alkaline) batteries in and run these down.
3. get some hi-power alkaline batteries (the kind that are marketed as 'photo' batteries or similar, they do cost more) and put these in. Hopefully the 'low battery' indicator has now been reset.
This worked for me.
