You have a short on PCM - powertrain control module , 5volt reference circuit . This will surely make the vehicle not keep running !
The powertrain control module (PCM) provides 5 volts to the following sensors:
?€¢
The air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor

?€¢
The fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor, if equipped

These 5-volt reference circuits are independent of each other outside the PCM, but are bussed together inside the PCM. Therefore a circuit condition on one sensor 5-volt reference circuit may affect the other sensor 5-volt reference circuits. The PCM monitors the voltage on the 5-volt reference circuit. If the PCM detects that the voltage is out of tolerance, DTC P0651 sets.

thank you very much now to fix it

The best way is to disconnect the sensors one at a time an see if it will start an run . The a/c pressure sensor is the easiest to get at ! A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor
In the air conditioning (A/C) muffler hose assembly close to the condenser , don't know if you know what they are taking about here ! Do you know what A/C hoses look like ,an the condenser ? Condenser is in front of vehicle ! The fuel pressure sensor is on top of the fuel tank !

  • Randy Ohler Aug 30, 2015

Come on Jeff, neither of these will kill the engine this fast. I could have copied and pasted this info also.

  • Randy Ohler Aug 30, 2015

Anonymous, Your cheapest bet is to have it diagnosed. By a reputable shop. Most the good mechanics are bailing from this site. I leaving soon. Jeff gave good info, but seems he is following suit. Copy and paste...

  • Jeff Armer Aug 30, 2015

Yes it will a shorted sensor on a 5 volt ref. circuit brings down the whole PCM ! Watch some of scanner danners videos on you tubehttps://youtu.be/uyncVz_HAtA Better yet ground a five volt ref. circuit from TPS sensor an try to start the car !

This code is for the fuel pressure sensor on top of the fuel tank. This usually won't kill the engine. Is your security light stay on after a couple seconds? If the light is on, do a reset. Turn the key on for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. Try to start. There is also a relearn. three times this, start after the third time. Have a charger on it.

That's why it wasn't running good ,an lights lit on the dash. Your best bet , take it to GMC dealer .
No where in GM service info does it say after replacing the battery that you need to wait two min. before starting .
Position the positive battery cable (1) to the battery.
Tighten the positive battery cable bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd pickup. The check engine light along with the service stabilitrak and traction control lights also came on. It runs rough at idle or low speed. Where do I start?

Have it check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . If the check engine light starts flashing , park it . The flashing check engine light is telling you there is a catalytic converter damaging miss fire happening . An they can be damaged very easy .

Abslight stays on. How to fix? This is a2007trailblazer?

First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
DTC C0035 or C0040

DTC C0245
DTC C0283
DTC C0287
DTC C0290 or C0292
DTC C0455

I HAVE A 1999 Dodge Caravan, driving along 10mph engine stopped running, would not start after stopped. Replaced crankshaft, camshaft sensor, coil pack, fuel pump, checked fuses, relays, still no start,...

Did your Check Engine or Service Engine Soon light come on? If so, there is an error code (Diagnostic Test Code or DTC) stored in your Caravan's onboard computer. Have the code read and interpreted, and you can google the results to see which system triggered the code. If no light came on, you may want to check your fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor and breaker points/inductive pickup (depending on how the engine is equipped). Other possibilities include carburetor or throttle body injectors malfunctioning. Many possible causes, but the DTC route is easiest to check. Good luck.

Hi there:

DTC P0641 - 5-Volt Reference 1 Circuit

DTC P0651 - 5-Volt Reference 2 Circuit

Diagnostic Fault Information
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description
The engine control module (ECM) has 2 internal 5-volt reference busses called 5-volt reference 1 and 5-volt reference 2. Each reference bus provides 5-volt reference circuits for more than one sensor. Therefore, a fault condition on one 5-volt reference circuit will affect the other 5-volt reference circuits connected to that reference bus. The ECM monitors the voltage on the 5-volt reference busses.

The 5-volt reference 1 bus provides 5 volts to the following sensors:
* The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
* The fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor
* The air conditioning (A/C) refrigerant pressure sensor
* The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 2
* The intake camshaft position (CMP) sensor

The 5-volt reference 2 bus provides 5 volts to the following sensors:
* The APP sensor 1
* The throttle position (TP) sensor 1 and 2
* The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor

Conditions for Running the DTC
* DTCs P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0607, and P2610 are not set.
* The ignition is in Unlock, Accessory, Run, or Crank.
* The ignition voltage is more than 5.23 volts.
* DTCs P0641 and P0651 run continuously when the above conditions are met.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The ECM detects a voltage out of tolerance condition on the 5-volt reference 1 or 2 bus for more than 0.5 second.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
DTCs P0641 and P0651 are Type A DTCs.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC
DTCs P0641 and P0651 are Type A DTCs.

Diagnostic Aids
It may be possible to locate the fault by disconnecting one component at a time from the 5-volt reference circuit while viewing the 5-Volt Reference circuit parameter on the scan tool. The scan tool parameter would change from Fault to OK when the source of the fault is disconnected.

If all 5-volt reference components have been disconnected and a Fault is still indicated, the fault may exist in the wiring harness.

Circuit/System Verification
With the ignition ON and the engine OFF, observe the 5-volt Reference 1 and 2 parameters. The scan tool should display 4.3-4.7 volts for a normally operating system.

Circuit/System Testing
Important: Additional DTCs will set when disconnecting the components.

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of all appropriate sensors for the applicable DTC.

Important: A short to voltage on the signal circuit of certain components may cause this DTC to set.

2. Ignition ON, measure for 4.8-5.2 volts between one of the 5-volt reference circuits and ground.

* If the voltage is less than the specified value, test for a short to ground on all the 5-volt reference circuits. If all circuits test normal, replace the control module.
* If the voltage is greater than the specified value, test for a short to voltage on all the 5-volt reference circuits, or the signal circuit, for each component associated with the appropriate 5-volt reference circuit. If all circuits test normal, replace the control module.

3. Connect each component associated with the 5-volt reference circuit, one at a time, while monitoring the voltage. The voltage should not change more than 1 volt.

* If the voltage display changes more than the specified value when a component is connected, replace the component.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
