Tried to move to ATT but the phone is programed by LG For Verizon. Not "locked" according to Verizon it is Programmed by the manufacture and they do not know how to unprogram.

If the phone is locked to a particular network you will need to get it 'unlocked'. Depending on how new your handset is most good phone repair shops will be able to unlock it for a small charge.

The LG VX6100 appears to be locked to Verizon wireless. Thus it does not have a user-replaceable SIM card. The phone number gets programmed by Verizon staff when you purchase the phone.

The issue is that your phone is not recognizing your sim card/ is not programmed to your carrier. The way to fix is to contact your carrier and either get the phone programmed to your carrier (Sprint, Nextel, Verizon) or get a sim card for your account (ATT, Tmobile)

If the lock code has not been changed then it should just be the last four of the cell phone number. If that doesn't work then the phone will need to be re-programmed and that will reset the lock code to default mode. If you have Verizon you can dial *228 send and option 1 to re-program the phone.

Since the service is from Verizon I highly suggest driving to the store and asking a professional.

Unfortunately the phone will need to be activated and programmed on a number before it can be unlocked. Then the lock code will be the last 4 digits of that cell number. Take it to your local Verizon store and see if they can assist you further.

the default is always one of these code try them all the last four digits of the phonenumber last programmed in the phone aka your number or 9999,1234,4321,0000,1111 if none of those work you can go the retail store for a flash they hook it to the computer and push software to the phone to correct the issue it takes five mins and its free its a common issue for them to correct if you change your lock code from the default in the future always set up a dummy contact with it in there so that you can easily look it up also please vote for me I'm trying to work my way up to expert level and I cant without your vote please

LG VX 8300 Reset Lock Code To Default If you have your phone serviced with Verizon this should work. Dial *228 then push send. You will get 3 options to choose from. 1. To program your phone. 2. To update your roaming capabilities. Can't remember 3rd option. If you choose 1st option, program your phone you will be told to hold while your phone is being programmed. When finished your phone should turn off then on again itself. Your lock code is then set to default. (last 4 digits of phone #)

Well option 2 is to update roaming capabilities option 1 is to just program the phone itself...
