WMT01 washing machine makes a very loud noise on the spin cycle, is this a bearing?

Remove belt, and spin drum by hand, if it is noisy,or feels rough, then it is the main drum bearings that have failed.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Whirpool Thin twin with noisy dryer?

You could have a wore out dryer belt wich could cause the drum to feel lose, Also you could try checking the glides underneath the front of the drum to make sure they did'nt slip out of position. This helps the drum turn with little or no friction.

Noisy dryer

i had same problem with washing machine. i found out it was the stone inside which holds it down while it spins. The screws or nuts or what ever is holding the stone could be loose.

Or it could be the nuts or screws of the actual drum that spins that got loose when you moved the machine

Noisy

usually a noisy machine means either the main bearings have gone or the motor has got damaged/worn in some way. to check the main bearings try lifting the drum with the hand from inside or rotate the drum with the hand to see if the rumble can be felt. i cannot think what else would cause a loud humming though.
