Question about Hamilton Beach BrewStation 47224 Coffee Maker

Open Question

Gasket fell out of m HB Brew Station

I have a HB Brew Station Model #47665. A small round black gasket fell out of the dispensing valve. Without it the coffee just runs out every where. The dispensing bar seems to work just fine as does the spring, but for the life of me, I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE THIS GASKET GOES. Without it, the coffee pot is useless. Please HELP> I love my Brew Station and I can't find a repair manual or web site anywhere. thx......Katherine

Hi there. This is my question and after calling Hamilton Beach and explaining the problem, I was informed that the little "star" shaped plastic part that holds the gasket in broke, thus I needed a whole new tank. Lucky for me, I am a person who waits for the entire answer BEFORE I blow my top. Product support then proceded to tell me that they would be glad to send me a WHOLE NEW TANK for the cost of SHIPPING only!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shipping is only $5.00 . I love Hamilton Beach!!!!! IF BY BOTTOM YOU MEAN BOTTOM OF THE POT, YOU'LL LIKELY NEED A REPLACEMENT POT (CALLED A TANK). REPLACEMNT PARTS YOU NEED ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND BY ME AND I HAVE LOOKED FOR HOURS.

Might want to call to assure this will work in your model Brewstation.
This vendor is in canada. $9 CDN is cheap enough.

SOURCE: Won't brew a full pot.

well I hope this helps some, i was having a similar problem with my brewstation and decided to take it apart ( why not, it's already broken! ) this machine has seen a year of very heavy use and I could not bring myself to just throw it away. It would take forever to brew and I would have to turn it off and on several times to brew a full pot. I unplugged the machine, emptied out the water and turned it on it's back. Remove the 4 phillipshead screws and the two torx screws from the bottom ( if you dont have torx handy like me just gently pry the two halves apart till the screws pull through- after you have removed the phillips heads!) at this point the bottom will just come right off, no special tricks. You will now see a horseshoe shaped aluminum tube with orange silicone tubes at either ends of it, this is the heatime element. slide the small hose clamps back away from the element on the hoses and pull the hoses off both sides of the element end only, this will require a little elbow grease to do. Now carefully remove the two phillips screws securing the heating element to the maker BE OBSERVANT AS TO HOW THE WASHERS AND SPACERS ARE SECURED and remove them. To give yourself a little room for the element to come further out of the machine also remove the wiring clamp from the inside, it is a white half "c" plastic piece with 2 screws holding it, it is securing about 7 wires down with wire nuts on them. Once this is removed it will give you enough play to pull the heating element several inches away from the machine, do so. Now look inside the tubes of the element and you should see one side looks clear and clean and the other end is probably going to be clogged solid with tan colored gunk, the water could not pass through!. I took a piece of metal coat hangar (all i had around at the time) and bent it to the conture of the element and used it to **** out the element, uncloging it. this takes a little time because the buildup is very hard to break up. Once that is done carefully wash out the element getting all the build up that was broken up out, CLEAN IT GOOD!. The next step is to dry the exterior and make sure all the wiring is dry, try not to wet the wires at the wiring nuts or it may short out. Now re assemble the machine, run cleaner through and enjoy a cup of coffee !!

Is there a replacement part for the (HB Brewstation model 47665) tank? It's barely a year old, and the tank has a tiny crack (at one of the screws at the hot plate) and leftover coffee spills all over the...

Desiree, I just had a problem with my 3 yr old Brewstation 47665. There is a limited warranty (1 yr) for the model. Call Customer Service and I am sure they can help you. You can find the number on their website. In my case, I would have to buy a new tank for $14.00 plus state tax. $14 is a lot better than $60. The coffee was dispensing extremely slowly and there is no way to remove the parts to clean. I didn't want to part with this coffeemaker, I LOVE IT!

Reassembly instructions

That little screen that lies at the bottom of the bucket needs to be snapped out and the washer replaced. You have to unscrew the bottom, carefully remove the spring loaded lever, ( don't loose the spring) After fishing the lost rubber washer out of the hole, I used a screw driver or other similar item to pop the screen out. ( use care not to poke a hole in screen.) Next replace lever and spring and push the Star ended piece through the bottom and THEN fasten the washer. Replace all excess pieces and it should be fixed provided the washer isn't badly worn. This is the only way I know how to fix it after countless different web pages and searches.

Valve inside of tank is broken can i get a new one? hb 47214

Is it the "valve" that opens when you push the dispensing bar? If so, it's probable the same problem I had with my model 47655. Under the domed screen inside the holding tank is the valve that opens to dispense the coffee. Mine lost the gasket that prevents leaking. I called Hamilton Beach Product support and was told the gasket cannot be fixed or replaced. I would need a whole new tank. BUT WAIT!!! Believe it or not Hamilton Beach is sending me a whole new tank for the cost of shipping only. $5.00 bucks gets me a whole new tank. Just $5.00 BUCKS!!!!! Amazing. I love my Brew Station and I LOVE Hamilton Beach. They truly do stand behind their products. HAMILTON BEACH PRODUCT SUPPORT 1-800-851-8900 Good Luck to ya......Katherine

I own a brew station master and we have not had it a year yet and when we put the water in to brew 12 cups it only brews 4-6 cups we have cleaned the coffee pot with a cleaner but it has not helped

If the model you have is a 74214, I had the same problem. I had to repeatedly turn the pot off and on to get a whole pot of coffee. I returned the first one within 90 days back to Walmart with no receipt. They exchanged it with no problem The second one did the same thing so it went back also. I was going to exchange it for the same model but got lucky and found the next upgrade model (47665) on sale at that time. Not only did Walmart credit me the cost of the faulty one, but refunded me the $5.00 difference!!!! I've had the better model (47665) for about 9 nonths now and had a problem with a waher/gasket falling out causing the coffee to run all over the place. I called Hamilton Beach customer service at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. They informed me that the tiny plasitc piece that holds the gasket in place had broken and I would need a whole new tank. They then informed me that for the $5.00 cost of shipping, they would send me the new tank FREE OF CHARGE!!!!!! AMAZING. I love Hamilton Beach and know that they stand behind their products. Call them at 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. I'm sure they will remedy the issue at little or no cost to you and if it can be repaired, I know they will send the part with instructions at no cost. Good Luck to you. Katherine

My hamilton beach brew station 10 cup makes 2 cups then stops

Is it a model #47214? If so, I had to take TWO back to the store I bought them from within a 6 month period. I bought mine at Walmart and even without a receipt they exchanged it for an identical model with no proble. The second one did the same thing. I had to keep turning the pot off and on to get it to complete one brewing cycle. The third trip to Walmart, the next better model (47665) was on sale and agin with no receipt, Walmart gave me the purchase price of the faulty model 47214 toward replacing it with model 47665 which is usually $15.00 more, but because the better one was on sale, I actually got a $5.00 refund too!!!!!!! I love Walmart. BUT.......after about 9 months using the model 47665 constantly thru the day, the coffee ran all over the counter and floor. When I checked it out to see if I could fix it, I found the small round gasket the prevents this from happening had come out. I called Hamilton Beach Customer Support at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. The told me the tiny plastic part that held the washer in was broken and I needed a whole new tank. Imagine my surprise when they then informed me that for the nominal fee of $5.00 for shipping, they would send me a whole new tank, NO CHARGE!!!!! I love Hamilton Beach. They stand behind their products and until you contact them for yourself, you'll never realize how wonderful they are. Call them, 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. I know they will remedy the problem as quickly and cheaply as they can. Good Luck to you!!!!!!! Katherine

Dispenser not working

You don't say exactly what the problem is with your Brew Station but I know I bought the model 47214 and had to return it twice. It kept stopping and starting numerous times during the brew cycle. I retuned both to Walmart and they exchanged them with no receipt and no charge each time. I think I had 60 or 90 days to excahnge them. Anyway, the last one I took back was at the same time that the model 47665 was on sale. (the next better model) So I upgranded for the same price. I recently had a problem with the dispensing tank of my current Brew Station, model #47655. The coffee ran right thru onto the counter and floor. I called Hamilton Beach customer service at 1-800-851-8900 and explained the problem. They informed me that the little tiny plastic piece that held the small gasket (looks like a water hose gasket) in place had broken off and could not be fixed. I would need a whole new tank. My brew station is about 8 months old with no receipt. HB then informed me that the whole new tank could and would be sent to me for the cost of shipping of $5.00. YUP!!! FIVE DOLLARS gets me a whole new tank!!!!! I love Hamilton Beach. They truly do stand behind their products. Have your husband call them at 1-800-851-8900 and explain the problem. They will do everything possible to remedy the problem at nominal cost to you. Good Luck. Katherine
