Photos print green - HP Photosmart 3210 Printer

    Dear People,

We have our HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One already for 2 years.
Very soon (after a month) it has refused to take the paper from the
A4 tray. Well-known problem for this model. We use our fingers to push each paper sheet inside till HP finds it ant takes inside for printing :(.
Sad, but we can live with it as we print 2-3 pages per time usually.

Scanning and copying is of good quality. Colors was also great till "green" problem.

Totally we printed 800 papges within 2 years and maybe only 50 photos.

At once (yesterday) the printer started to print all photos in green from both small (10x15cm) and large (A4) trays. Printing the same photo on usual A4 format paper (not photo paper) goes still well. But when you set printing preference "to print as photo A4", then you get green print on normal paper. Tricks like to print photo on photo paper in simple Letter format (not as the photo format) do not help. You just get greenish print on photo paper always.

We have still the same XP operating system. Nothing has changed.
I was de-installing the HP software and printer. Reinstalling it again.
Changing cartridges to new ones. Cleaning head, aligning etc.
    But nothing helps.

It is really flustrating to have a printer that does not print normally from
almost very beginning (and it was also not cheap).

    The question is:
whether it is still possible to fix it somehow for printing photos in normal
color (we still have some cartridge storages, it is a pity to put 100 euro in a garbage box)? Or it is broken forever?

Who knows what is a better alternative than HP for all-in-one printer?

    Thanks for any advice, Marina

I adjusted the colour balance or my photo using photoshop to make it redder and then it printed exactly as the photo on the monitor.
not a perfect solution but the only one ive found to work.

This Problem is based on the Color Management so , The Perfect Solution for this problem is open the Photo or image etc in Adobe PhotoShop then goto Enhance->Adjust Color->Remove Color Cast , after removing the color cast , create a new layer for adjusting brightness , contrast & etc , then finally goto Image Size and change the DPI from 72 to 300 then save the image as JPEG or PNG etc , after saving the image close the Photoshop and open the image using Windows Photo Viewer and take the printout which will come as it is in the System

Most ink jet printers have a self cleaning you can do.
The fact that you're getting shades of green usually indicate that the red is not printing properly.

Self cleaning should take care of it

Can print paper but photos have green tint

If you refilled the ink cartridges, this can happen. Kodak uses pigment based inks, the others use dye based inks. Also, make sure your printer is set for normal photo printing, rather than special effects.

I had a similar problem with my R800 . I got a colour profiler to fix it and he used a spyder. Made an amazing difference. Well worth the trouble especially if you are printing a lot of photos
