The Wii Sports manual can be downloaded here

The manual for the Wii console itself can be obtained here

As for changing the language in Wii Sports, I am not sure, but it usually gives you the option when the game first starts up, otherwise it might use the system language.

The console is not turning on.We checked all plugs and everything appears to be working but the wii console is not even showing a light that it is plugged in.

You can unplug the AC adaptor on both ends for two minutes.
Check if your adapter is a license product of nintendo WII if its not, you can purchase one on nintendo online store

Nintendo Wii

Google "Wii Homebrew" and read up on this amazing work people have put so much time and effort on to make it possible to make your Wii region-free and play software Nintendo didnt design. You will have to check what version of firmware the Wii has installed. This is easy though as all you do is open up the menu and look in the upper right hand corner. It should say 3.2E for a PAL [European Wii], 3.2U for NTSC [USA, Canada, and Mexico], 3.2 J for NTSC [Japan]. If it says 4.0 then you will have to wait for someone to find an exploit because Nintnendo has fixed the access point [the way you can install homebrew and start it] in this version of firmware. Just google it and read up on it. Best of luck and hope you dont have 4.0.

Disc stuck inside Wii Consule

Unplug everything from the system and the power cable from the wall or power strip, let it sit for about 5 minutes. Plug everything into the system first then the wall. Power should come on
If the disc does not eject, contact nintendo, the disc drive will need repair

Hello royce_master,
It sounds like the problem you are having problems with the Motherboard, the wires are probably ripped up a little bit, trade it for a new one and it will work fine. Also check your Wii Settings.

Hope this Helped - NeWeVoLuTioN

Is japanese wii compatible with english wii fit?

No it does not. You can't play European games either for that matter, only Japanese games.
However there is a way around it, though it's a bit complicated and you'll need Zelda Twilight Princess (japanese version in your case) and an SD card.

Information can be found here: (used to install the Wii Homebrew Channel)
and used in combination with this: (Wii hombrew channel install files)
and finally this: (homebrew application allowing you to play games from other regions)

If you need any help I'll walk you through it. This isn't endorsed by Nintendo whatsoever. No warranty on this at all. I have done it myself and there have been no adverse effects.

Does Nintendo Wii work abroad?

Hey Erolon,

Nintendo Wii's sold within the United States will primarily be NTSC-formatted devices. Unfortunately, because Europe utilizes the PAL format instead of NTSC, you would need to have an NTSC-compliant TV in order to use a Wii purchased within the U.S.

Please also keep in mind that video games are often region-coded to work only with the consoles sold in the same area of the world. In other words...if you were to purchase a Wii within the U.S., you would only be able to play video games purchased within the U.S. as well.

Additionally, remember that the United States and Europe use different electrical standards: 110V/60Hz for the U.S. and 220V/50Hz for Europe. In order for any electrical device purchased within the U.S. to function properly overseas, a voltage adaptor may be required.

Hope this helps you out.
