There should be a yellow strap just pull it and it should release the shipping pins into some cups inside the machine remove the yellow strap completely from the machine there should be 2 or 3 pins attached to the strap. The Shipping pins in hold the tub in place while in transit to the store so it wont crack the tub. If there not removed it will shake real bad and cause damage to the machine. Hope this helps
The Fusing Roller Thermistor does not detect the required temperature within 30 sec. after a warmup cycle has begun; therefore, the copier does not complete the warm-up cycle.
The temperature of the Fusing Rollers does not reach the required level even after the set period of time has elapsed during a warm-up cycle.
You may have a bad fuser section. Another reset method is a small button located on the right side of the machine under on the scanner section. Locate your network port, then to the left of the port is a small cover that can be removed, behind that cover on the left is a small black button, use a paper clip or ball point pen and press the button, this will do a machine reset. When the operation panel abort starts to load hit the number 3 button, you should see a small back circle in the top right of the operation panel. This will give you the option to do a trouble reset. If this does not work you will need a technician to come out and replace the fuser section, make sure they bring one with them so they don't have to reschedule and come back.
Hook the network cable to your scanner nec card on the machines, note that this machine has two nec cards, one for printer and one for scanner.
after that Go to the setting and under setting/Scanner Default create and ip address for the scanner. after you done from that go to the computer browser, type in the ip address, you can choose scan to smb or pc.
Scan to smb needs shard folder but scan to pc needs to run software on your computer on your pc.
Setup the sender list which you need to fill only the ip address of the machine as sender.
Go to destination setup the ip address of the computer you scanning to, the path is the shared folder name, and the user name and password of your computer and you good to go.
To make it easy for you, Provide me your email and i will attach the scanning manual to help you setup it correctly and you can always get back to me in any question.
On the keyboard......User tools> administrator tools>address book.
you make your changes\ additions here.
You also must have your network settings completed in user tools. DNS, SMTP SERVER, GATEWAY ect....
Try increasing the "max email size" -or turning it off all together. I'm going by my own memory, so, you may have to do some browsing of settings, but I believe the setting is under: "User tools", "Scanner features", "send settings", (or some similar button under scanner features). There you should see a setting for Max. email size (or similar). The default is 2048kb.....try increasing it to whatever you want- maybe 4000-5000kb, and check the results. Usually the machine will stop scanning when it reaches the max size, so I'm not sure if this is the problem, or if we are talking about very large files that actually exceed your emails capacity to allow an email of this size? How large are these files once scanned that you are talking about? What is your scanner's resolution set at? 200dpi is more than sufficient for text. You can check that at the same location as above only select "scan settings", "default settings". If resolution is set to 400 or 600 dpi the files will become MUCH larger than they need to be. Hope this helps.
Yes, the type of scanning mentioned by the previous answer is called 'pull scanning' and you will have limited functionality. You have to load the document on the copier, turn on the scanner (nobody can use the machine now) return to your desk which I hope is not far from the copier because the doc stays there until you 'insert picture from scanner' then the machine scans the document and you run back to the copier to get it before someone throws it in the trash! It's a free system but limited. To have a fully functioning 'push scanner' where you send a doc as you stand at the copier to either a file on your computer, server or an email address you would need a universal send kit installed. If your machine has one you'l see the option tab called 'SEND' along the top of your screen. If you have this you're in luck. All you need is to enter the necessary network and email settings which can be done by any half decent network administrator vis the 'system settings' area from the addtional functions screen (accessed by pressing the head key with a star in it). Once this is set up merely select the 'SEND' tab and insert your document. In the top right hand corner will be a drop down menu reading either 'FILE' 'EMAIL' or 'FTP' If you want to send it to a shared folder on your network (anywhere) you select the 'FILE' option and then use the drop down menu in the centre of the screen to search the network for your shared folder. Select it and then press ok then the start key - IT'S GONE - IF YOU'RE LUCKY. To send to email you just select the 'EMAIL' option and enter the email address of the recipient and ok then start and you're in business provided that all the network and email settings are correctly entered and permissions for network access is set up. The machine needs a email account registered for it as well. I'm tired now - good luck.
Download the Reference guide for your machine from th eEpson web site. It will inform you what you need to do to complete the scanning options. you can also download the Epson Scan utility to help with scanning to email etc.
