Question about HP DeskJet 3325 InkJet Printer

Epson stylus c88 printing issue

Whenever i print anything (from the computer, test page from the printer) there is a red horizontal line under each line of text...almost like a red underline except there is a bigger gap

could use some assistance in trying to resolve this issue. thanks!

    Sorry for posting in wrong section. I ended up returning the unit to Epson since it was under warranty and they sent another working one.

    No problem gwbm..the only other thing I can offer is when I was speaking with the Epson tech as soon as he heard the problem he went over his script (everything that I had already tried) and just said send it in. All you have to do is tell them you bought it in the last year and where. They will ask for a credit card number and send you a new (or refurbished) printer. Then you send back the old problematic one in the same packaging with the included sticker.

    Is this underline RED or is it MAGENTA i.e. the colour from the magenta cartridge and only this cartridge? To print red uses both magenta and yellow.

    By the way, can you confirm we are talking about an Epson Stylus C88 printer since this post is listed under HP Deskjet 3325 Printer.

Our printer wont print out papers because it says its low on ink but we've bought ink and put it in, but it still wont print


Have you tried printing a test page from the printer itself.
There must be a menu on the printer through which you can print a test page or alignment page.

If it does print through that then it means that the printer is fine and there is some software glitch in the computer which needs to be fixed. But if in case it does not print anything at all through that as well then it means that there is something wrong with the hardware of the printer and needs to be taken care by Epson itself.

One line per page of printing has a white line through the printer line. It is not in the same spot on each page.


Clean the rollers inside the printer. That should remove anything that is blocking the ink flow onto the paper

Horizontal lines (red) on first 1 - 2 pages of initial print-out


Do you refill ink tank? Print blank pages. Is there horizontal lines appear? It might be caused bay ink leakage. Check respiratory hole at ink tank and rubber seal at bottom of ink tank. Print blank pages until no horizontal lines and try to use new ink tank.

Epson C88 printer only prints blank pages


See my post about about underhead cleaning. If that makes no difference you will need the countermeasure for the split cap tube. The document about loss of ink on CX series machines is also applicable to C88

sounds lke your yellow nozzle not working properly...had same issue on lexmark printer, ended up geting this epson...learnt from my mistakes...perhaps it ran dry? or you left the yellow cartridge out longer than the rest....only you might know what happened
