How to fix my Facebook app on Android tablet. No longer looks or preforms like the normal app. Think malware is involved.

I am not familiar with that specific tablet, but if you have the Youtube app, and it just will not open, uninstall it, restart your device, then re-install the app. A lot of times updates, either to the app itself, the tablet software, or Android, can create slight incompatibilities in an app. A simple uninstall/re-install will often fix it. How to uninstall depends on your current software. On some of my Android devices I can press and hold the app icon which will open a little "App info" balloon. Tap it, and you will have an uninstall option. Otherwise you may need to go into Settings. If your Settings screen has tabs across the top, choose General. Look for something like Applications or App Info. Open that and scroll down to the app, tap it, and you will have an option to uninstall.

This must be very frustrating and stressful for you. This sounds suspiciously like a malware infection. If the apps were uninstalled somehow, the logos (app shortcuts) would not appear on your home-screen. Malware is becoming more and more prevalent on mobile devices. I believe this is why you are experiencing this.

Depending on if you are using Apple or Android, please login to your iCloud account, or Google account, and see if any of your pics or data was synced to the cloud.

You can also download and run some anti-malware software for your tablet. Sometimes the malware simply hides your files, and removing this infection may bring your files back.

Suggest to first try logging into Facebook using the browser on your tablet instead of the facebook app. If that display is normal in size ... it's probably easiest to
(1) uninstall the Facebook App (Control/Settings/Apps);
(2) reboot the Tablet;
(3) Restart the Tablet and Go to the Google Playstore ...reinstall the Facebook app.

At first, u r activating "Don't disturb" mode. U need to disable it from control center (icon with half moon) or from the setting ( Don't disturb mode). if it didn't work after that, please reinstall Facebook app again after deleting it.good luck

First, check to see if you are using the latest version of the Facebook app, an upgrade might solve your problems.

If that doesn't work, you might need to completely uninstall Facebook and reinstall it.

• Uninstall Facebook
• Restart your device
• Go back to the app store and install Facebook again
• Re-input your credentials

I would try uninstalling the Facebook app and re-installing it and see if this fixes the issue. Before doing that however make sure that the tablet has been fully powered off and restarted if you have not done so since the update was installed - that may also cure the problem.

I think you should uninstall the app and reinstall it. That usually works for me. And if that doesn't work, try restarting your iPad and reinstall the Facebook app and see if it works.

If it is only the Facebook app that is causing this issue, I would just uninstall Facebook and reinstall it.

I never could connect on my android 2.3 phone, but then I read something online about needing to uninstall and re-install the facebook app on the phone... the facebook app came with my phone, and my phone would not let me uninstall it! I WENT TO THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND SEARCHED FACEBOOK. When it came up, it had the option to update my facebook app, so I updated it, after that CANDY CRUSH CONNECTED TO FACEBOOK NO PROBLEM... go figure... my phone has automatically updated the facebook app several times, but the candy crush app would never connect until I updated the app manually using the google play store... Bizare!
