Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
Hello I don't know the model number the machine belongs to my sister-in-law. I believe she or her kids dowloaded and install some spyware, I am A+ certified on PC's She ask me to fix or try to fix her machine, My question is can it be returned to out of the box status she does not have anything to save on the pc. or will I have to do an fdisk?
You can do a restore to factory setting if you have a set of restore CD's or if it is stored on a hidden partition. If on a partition it will sometimes give you an F12 option to hit and you follow directions from there. From CD's you boot off the CD's. If this is a home-built unit, you will have to format and reinstall ALL drivers, applications and of course the operating system
