Question about Xerox 5665 Copier
What could cause this it was just fine yesterday when it was used??
HELP Thanks Tom
What is the code?
Can be anything from a bad main drive motor, laser,
lamp, etc. There most likely is a U code, Like U1-1 or similar.

There are several causes for this problem, the most common is failure of the maindrive motor or fuser unit failure.

Tips for a great answer:
We have a WorkCentre 7655 that has been working fine for ages but is now causing some issues. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing.
The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"
As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.
