Probably a hole in the evaporator
But I have to ask what is it you are seeing as the gas is not visible to the eye
is it a mist that you see on opening the door or has the compressor stopped working

Kelvinator fridge freezer

  • If your refrigerator leaks water, you have a problem with either a water line or a drain line. If your refrigerator has an automatic icemaker or a water dispenser, the water supply line could be broken. Automatic icemakers have a drain line that runs down to the drain pan beneath the fridge. Mold build-up inside the drain line can lead to a rupture that allows water to escape .A broken drain line can also lead to water leaking from your refrigerator.

My kelvinator 290 refrigerator (not fridge/freezer) leaks water which apears underneath the 2 crisper drawers at the bottom? How do I stop this from happening. Can I unblock something?

you need to defrost the fridge. you most likely have a build up of ice in the collector from running the fridge to cold.

once down plug back in freezer and run on low temp for 24 hours and increase in small increments until the fridge is to a good temperature (about 39 degrees F)

Where abouts is the thermostat inside the fridge there are white and yellow wires that go to either side of the fridge and the yeallow ones are broken what are these wires for it is a kelvinator C375vm

It sounds like you have a cyclic defrost fridge,Kelvinators were originally fitted with heat assist thermostats,so in order for the fridge to come back on a yellow wire heater was run around the cooling evaporator in the fridge compartment start running again at approx +4C so when the element fused the fridge did not start again until approx +12C.So instead of replacing heater a different thermo was used that came back on at +4c deg regardless.Kind Regards.

Kelvinator 360 Fridge Wheel Adjustment

If you have the manual.... check under leveling your appliance.
I don't know Kelvinator but most have screws/bolts that can be turned behind the air vent cover at the bottom front of the fridge that will raise or lower the fridge. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
