Question about Canon imageCLASS MF6550 All-In-One Laser Printer
This morning it was printing fine. Now it just prints out blank papers. It did give me errors of needing to load paper(which it already had) and change paper size. I was printing letter size on letter paper. Anyway i pushed a bunch of buttons and now it prints blank
Blank paper usually comes after a paper jam, simply pull out the ink cartridge and slam it back, this will open the laser aperture, repeat this procedure until it works again, no need to do anything else.

I've tried everything before for months... unplugging, new cartridges, servicing, etc. I've always avoided jarring an electronic item, but hitting the front fixed it! A couple of open-palmed smacks above the paper drawer, and it printed this very page. Apparently, sometimes the cover over the laser sticks shut after replacing the print cartridge, or removing a paper jam. Sounds crazy, but smack it!

Ive repaired several of these for this problem. It comes from the laser assembly shutter not getting opened by the cartride when installed.Usally required me to dissasmble and lube the pivot point in the machine. The only workaround that may work for awile is to really insert the cartridge into the machine, this sometimes freese the frozen linkage. Not that thats a great solution, but It may get you by.

I had this problem, a large hair on the transfer roller was the reason, just clean it well.
