What operating system do you use? When you boot up your computer, can you see anything on the screen.

If you can, just load the drivers for the monitor from the CD when you boot into windows.

If you can't see anything, you need to connect a different monitor or there is possible issues with the video adapter built into your motherboard.

Problem is the video signal is lost. Computer runs fine, but can't get the picture. Is it overheated or is it shot?

check you directx  binding by typing dxdiag into run then take the test if you pass then it might be taking to much power to run the card . if you did not pass change the refreash rate or other setting till the dirver rewrites this may change the directx binding as the driver rewrites

your card may be pulling to much power check the wattage of the card you power supply should be about 20% higher that your card.also test you direct X by typing dxdiag in run and test it  if it passes it is most likely your power supply to small. if not change your refreash rate and see if the driver will bind to the directx and not to you onboard graphics system the below info is for another card but it may help you

While playing game , game is jumpy , to jumpy to even shoot someone , how do I fix this ?

It's hard to answer this without knowing what game you're playing but if I get the information off the net right your computer is incapable of running any of the new games. It's slow, not much ram and poor video capabilities. A lot of the new games require 2 gigs of ram, a 750 meg video card and at least 2.4 megahertz of power to run excellent. What I see of that motherboard you posted under it's only capable of 1.2 megahertz and probably very little ram and an ancient PCI style video card which is about 8 years back in technology.

I have D101GGC motherboard. I had Nvidia 6200 Geforce graphic card earlier but removed it now and installed VGA drivers. When I restarted the computer it was very slow and in the task manager ''Image name...

Did you fully remove the Nvidia software? Sometimes you need to remove the software for the card because it is trying to load when windows starts and cannot find the card. You can also try and disable the agp or pci-express slot in the bios and see if that helps. Also make sure that the onboard video can run the directX version you have installed on your system. If the Nvidia card runs on directX 9 and the onboard video can only run directX 8 and directx 9 is running on your PC then that will definently cause an issue.

Display problem

Hi,

The problem might be with your monitor, please check it properly if it is okay and also try to check your system on another Monitor.

If your monitor is okay, then there are two possible causes:

1) There might be a problem with your slot on motherboard try to connect card with another one if your board have.

2) There must be a problem with your graphics card. If it has a warranty, do replace it ASAP.

If you have anything else to clear, please do share with me.

Kind Regards,

Can i put nVIDIA geforce 8600 on my p5sd2-vm

Yes, your Asus motherboard will support the Nvidia GeForce 8600 PCI-Express graphics card.
However one thing you should consider. The 8600 card is SLI compatible but the motherboard only has one PCI-E x16 slot.
You will also need to make some changes in your bios.
In order to help you configure your system for a PCI-E graphics follow these steps.
1. Uninstall your current display driver software through windows control panel. Windows may ask you to restart your system, do not restart. Shut windows down which will shut off the system.
2. Unplug the power cable from the system & open your case.
3. Install your 8600 card. (Double check it is installed correctly & if needed has the extra power cord connected to the card.
4. Re-connect the power cord.
5. During boot up enter the bios by pressing the Delete key every couple seconds.
6. Once in the bios click the Advanced tab, see top of page 2-19 in your manual.
7. Than open Onboard Device Configuration
Open North Bridge Configuration, see page 2-22
Change Primary Graphics Adapter to [PCI-E]
Change Internal VGA to [Disable]
Change Share Memory Size to [Disable]

8. Save Bios changes & exit. Your system will auto restart.
Once windows has finished loading install the 8600 driver software & directX 10.0. You can also go to nVidia & download the latest software driver @

All of the software drivers for your machine can be found by using Dell's support page.

Here's a direct link.

A lot of experts here will just give you a direct link to the file you're looking for. Although this is great for an end user since all you've got to do is click the link, it's not going to help you long term.

What I purpose is you learn how to find software drivers yourself.

This will decrease the need to relay on others for help and will ultimately make your experience with computers much more pleasurable.

If you're still having trouble just reply to this thread and I will respond immediately.

Also please don't forget to rate my solution FixYa, it helps me, help you.

Thanks!
