I have lost the ability to ring in cash entry's on the numeric keypad

That's an interesting one. It sounds like the PLU file may have corruption. I've only had this when the battery wasn't changed on time. Make sure you have had the battery replaced at the correct service interval. It will probably need backing up and RAM clearing. Check with a dealer.

to delete a plu it must have no totals on either the plu current or today report. Run a plu z report both current and today and then delete the plu

THe memory is lost all you need to ddo is an initial reset and start again programming

I have had this error several times, I always figure it out, but then when it happens again I forget what I did! So, just happened again tonight, and this time I bookmarked the link and saved the steps.

Here are those steps:-
- Reinstall Microsoft Office
- Resolve Corrupted MSVCR80.dll Related Registry Entries
- Restore Deleted MSVCR80.dll File
- Check the Status of System Files
- Restore the System

In the PLU programming, you'll see tables in the section called individual feature programming. Find the entry for linking PLU to dept.

2 things. Either the drive is dead or the dreaded microsoft registry bug has lost it. Here is the fix for the MS problem. If this doesnt fix it, its a dead drive and needs to be replaced.

1. Click Start , and then click All Programs.
2. Click Accessories, and then click Run.
3. Type regedit, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
4. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
5. In the right pane, click UpperFilters.
   
   Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 8.
6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
7. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
8. In the right pane, click LowerFilters.
   
   Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further.
   
9. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
10. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
11. Exit Registry Editor.
12. Restart the computer.

This is the only thing I haven't managed to do with them. I've tried many methods and consulted other techs, but it seems they are very separate memory areas. You will probably just have to program the product into the scanning PLU file as well.
If I find a way, I'll try to post it for you.
