Re: NERO / JET AUDIO CANNOT FOR ROM DRIVE
Thanks for coming to FixYa, The problem you have is either a well documented software problem, a damaged Nero install or a failing drive.
Click the below link, then scroll down and click the "Fix It" button. Follow the onscreen instructions, restart when it's done and see if your drive re-appears. If it does, you're done, if it doesn't work then try uninstalling and re-installing Nero, again if that fails then your drive is most likely failed and you should replace it.

First you need to locate your music/audio. If it was downloaded from Limewire/Frostwire the default location would be C:\Documents and Settings\**Your Username**\Shared
You can also access your music/audio through Limewire/Frostwire, by going to your Library, then highlighting a file that you want to burn and press explore. This will open the folder containing the highlighted file.
Alternatively use the search to search for something you know is in the folder you want to access or eg. search for the extension of the music/audio you want to burn.
First it may be worth mentioning that there are two ways of burning audio in Nero 7. Using Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM (The original Nero program). I find both very simple to use, but prefer Nero Express, so That's what I will use here.
First open Nero StartSmart:
Pressing add is not necessary. You can also open folders outside of Nero Express, and then you drag and drop the same way.
You can make mp3 disks using Nero Express as well. Just choose make Data Disk instead of Audio CD in Nero StartSmart. The only difference you will see is that instead of minutes you will be adding size (MB)
In case you run into playback issues when using Nero Express, then you have two options. You could try using Nero Burning ROM. Raaf explains here how to do that with Nero 6, but Nero 7 is very similar:
Hi ,it could be that your dvd is dirty, scratched or corrupted.Try your dvd in another computer to see if it is ok .If you use Nero Burning Rom go to your Start menu.a All Programs ,Nero. In the sub menu Click on Nero Tools and select Nero Info Tools and see what that brings up.Hope this helps you. Regards Bill
Hi, if you are using Nero Burning Rom, go to Start/All Programs, Click on Nero Burning Rom,and in the sub section click on Nero Info Tool and see what that brings up.You could also try and clean your drive as dust and dirt can stop it from working.
try re-installing your burning software ( nero-Roxio et,c )
Does it play a standard Music/Audio CD.
if not un-install and re-install the drive.
Are the cables to the drive connected correctly ?
Does the drive support CD+ And CD- media ?
Are the cds definately Blank, any small amount of data written to them, after failed burn attempts will not show the disk as being empty.
is your hard drive the master on the primary cable? You shouldn't need a digital audio cable unless you want digital audio. Are you using Nero software witht he drive? may have to re-install the software, or better, uninstall it, clear the registry with CCleaner (free download on the web) and then try a fresh install.
if you wish to burn cd's which is your burner then you need a software called nero burning rom or any other burning software that lets you burn data or audio cd's or vcd's to burn with if you wish to burn dvd's then you need a dvd burner combo drive which lets you burn dvds
