Open the case and take out the battery and insert it after counting 30 second.. if the problem still persistent. may be the problem is related with battery itself.. replace that thing..

So if i have a dell dv051, and i go in to the F2 setup utilities how do i set everything up?

Why are you in BIOS setup? Is their a problem? If you are in the BIOS setup and don't know, just leave it alone. If you alter the BIOS you may be opening Pandora Box.

How to skip bios setup

F2 is your BIOS Setup enter key?

As SOON as you press the Power On button, start tapping on the F2 key.
Tap in 2 second intervals.
You may hear beeps. These are Stuck Key Error code beeps. You know what they are now, so just ignore them.

The BIOS Setup screen goes by F-A-S-T. You have a very small window of opportunity. This is why you are tapping on the enter BIOS Setup key, as soon as you turn the laptop on.

In BIOS Setup there is an option to bypass the P.O.S.T screen.

  2. Select Yes or OK.
  3. Press the Enter key.
  4. Press the F10 function key.
  5. Select Yes or OK to save the defaults.
You can also complete the following steps to reload the factory BIOS settings using the menu:

  2. Select Load Setup Defaults.
  3. The system prompts you to load the optimized setup defaults. Select Yes or OK and press the Enter key.
  4. Select Exit Saving Changes.
  5. Press Esc and then press Enter to exit Setup.
Please don't forget to rate this if it fixed your problem. Four thumbs up is basically what means your problem was solved. Anything less means your problem was not solved. Not sure people here understand that as far as how we get rated.

Why do not support usb ni intel motherboard?

May be the USB support is disabled in BIOS setup.
To correct this enter the BIOS setup.
If oyu are not familiar with BIOS setup, open all main menus and check for 'USB support' (but do not change any setting!!!)
If 'USB support' is set to 'disabled', set it to 'Enabled'.
Save and exit from Setup.
Restart computer.
Check whether USB ports are working now.

New computers Thankfully, computers that have been manufactured in the last few years will allow you to enter the CMOS by pressing one of the below five keys during the boot.
A user will know when to press this key when they see a message similar to the below example as the computer is booting. Some older computers may also display a flashing block to indicate when to press the F1 or F2 keys.
