Et1862 stucks in elogo and restart with a beep continuosly

can be a defect or a bios problem:reset the bios by the "reset bios" jumper on the motherboard or press canc during boot and enter bios; on the exit and save tab select "load system bios defaults" then select save and exit. if after that it beep again is a faulty component, probably a ram bank. turn off pc, disconnect the ac cable and remove a ram bank (if there're 2 or more on the motherboard) and switch them until it boot. hope it help

My computer always makes beeps sounds when i boot it up

Hi Daniel,

every computer has certain beep codes that indicate problems during the boot process. These codes are different from each manufacturer. You didn't mention which computer you are having, so I can't send you a solution. The best way is to search i.e. "HP beep codes" or "Dell9150 beep codes".

Let me know if you have any question.
Good luck!

I changed the power supply on my acer aspire e700 and it beeps continuosly non stop with no picture on screen, the last power supply blew. it had a graphics card when i bought it but it stopped working so...

You may have more problems than just he power supply from when the old power supply went out. The mainboard could be bad.

Make sure it's unplugged from power from the wall, then check that the memory is seated correctly. Check for anything else that may be out of place or not fully connected.

There are also different beep codes for different errors. They've mostly been standardized, but may vary by mainboard as well. Here's a link to common POST beep codes and their meanings:

My toshiba satelite laptop beeps continuosly, non-stop

First, check the memory (RAM) of your computer. remove and put it back in. Also checkif therre is only one or two memory sticks in, so you can check on both. It should work fine, and if not, try replacing the memory of your laptop.

I have tried to restart and went as far as trying to diagnose problem.. was given prompt that system volume on disk is corrupt...what do I do???? Please help!!!!!

You can create a boot disk on a seperate computer with a usb flopy drive or can create a boot disk on a cd. Once you get your laptop to boot into a command prompt you can run the chkdsk /f command and that may help. If not you will need to backup your information with an external hard drive connection on a seperate computer then reformat and load your OS again.

Beeps on start up

Hi there.
The continuous beeping means that there is a problem with the memory, take the system memory out and clean the brass contacts, then reseat the memory and try to boot the PC up again.
The memory is located behind a panel underneath the laptop like this >>>>>> e1bc638.jpeg.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Screen goes white, flashing a folder with a question mark

The flashing folder means that the computer can't find the boot system on the hard drive. If your girlfriend's step-dad has removed some parts of the OS, then the system will not start giving the 'flashing folder' result. You will need to re-install the OS from the system disk.
Insert the disk into the computer and it will boot from that and take you through the install procedure.

Restarting Continuosly

This is because of Operating System Errors.
When you switch on the notebook

1. Press F8 Function key and choose the SAFE MODE with command prompt.

2. Then you will prompt to enter the Operating System by pressing 1 or 2 if you have mltiple OS

3. Then give the administrator password if present.

4. Then type the command and run the disk checking program with the following commands
C:\WINDOWS> CHKDSK C: /r

5. After completion of the chkdsk program then type EXIT at command prompt.

6. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del for Windows Task Manager

7. Then select the Shut Down menu in task manager and select the restart menu.

If this does't solve your problem.

Please use the DVD/CD given by the HP. That will restore it to original state.

WARNING: All the data on the Notebook will lost if you are not familier with it.

Thanks & Regards

Nandu :)
