SOURCE: my lawn boy 6.5hp mower isblowing fuel out of the muffler

Maybe it's a stuck float valve or a bad float. Had a similar problem on a TORO rider but that turned out to have a pin hole in the brass float, it filled up with gas and let just about the hole tank through the muffler. I changed the brass float and still running to this day! Note: your float may not be brass if it is a newer machine it will be plastic.

SOURCE: lawn mower will not start. I changed spark plug,

If your mower will start when you prime it, and then it dies right away, you have a carberator pluged. If after primeing the mower and it will not even start for a few seconds, you have lost spark. If you have no spark, this can be cause by two things. First, the magnito could have gone back, but this dosen't happen to often, but it can happen. First, check to see that the cable from the brake handle has not stretched. This controls engine brake and its also the kill switch, which kills the spark. Get acess to your engine brake, and you will find a wire connected to a tab. Remove this wire and try to start the mower. If it starts, replace the control cable. If it dosen't start, hook the wire back up and replace the magnito. I hope this is of some help

SOURCE: Poulan 6.75 Lawn mower will not start

FOR SURE CHECK ALL PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ITEMS , TRY THIS...ALMOST GUARANTEE IT WILL RUN............ REMOVE "ALL" OLD FUEL, REFILL WITH FRESH HIGHEST OCTANE FUEL. REPLACE SPARK PLUG (YES, EVEN IF IT LOOKS OK!) GAIN ACCESS TO CARB OPENING, REMOVE AIR FILTER..OR WHATEVER. USING SPRAY CARB CLEANER, FILL ENTIRE CARB AND FLOATBOWL WITH CLEANER....WAIT OVERNIGHT IF POSSIBLE..IT WILL EVAPORATE. NEXT DAY SHOOT MORE INTO CARB..GETTING ANY JETS, ORIFICES ETC..FILL FLOAT BOWL AGAIN. P.S. CLEAN OR REPLACE AIR FILTER IF NEEDED! WAIT A WHILE, GAP NEW SPARK PLUG, INTRODUCE APPROX. 1-2 OZ. OF FRESH GAS INTO PLUG HOLE...QUICKLY RE-INSTALL SPARK PLUG ..WITH ON/OFF SWITCH-BAR OFF..PULL OR CRANK ENGINE A FEW TIMES. MAKE SURE IGNITION CAN FIRE, CRANK(ELECT. START) OR PULL STARTER ROPE & MOWER SHOULD FIRE OVER. IF IT STARTS..RUNS..THEN STALLS (AFTER USING UP GAS IN CARB, TRY IT AGAIN. IF IT CONTINUES TO STALL QUICKLY...YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST A CARBURATOR REBUILD, OR IF NO START AT ALL..YOU NEED TO SEE IF PLUG IS FIRING.

Lawnboy 6.5 idles up and down and low power

Try a new spark plug and then clean the
carb jets very carefully. Remove the jets
and blow out all the carb passageways.
The jets being plugged cause a lean fuel
mixture which causes the surging.
Last resort is check compression and do a
engine rebuild with new crankshaft seals.

Oil mixture for 1985f series 2 cycle lawn-boy mower

Contact your dealer ! but 32:1 sounds correct. 8 ounces of Lawnboy oil to two gallons of gasoline ....is 32:1, 8 ounces of oil to one gallon of fuel is 16:1 for the real old lawnboys,
When Toro bought out OMC,and started using Tecumseh mowers, the ratio changed in the late 80's or early nineties ! IIRC :o)

Does the recycler use gas or a gas oil mixture

Your recycler mower is either gas or electric (as you may know). The gas models use straight gasoline. You do not mix oil with the fuel.

What is the 2 cycle oil to gas mixture for a 2 cycle lawnboy

20:1 gas to oil is a good place to start. Some mowers thin down to 80:1. If you can tell me the model of the mower I can be more specific, but starting at 20:1 will assure you have adequate protection for the engine. If it's exhausting lots of oil smoke after it has warmed up; you can cut back a little each time until you have minor oil smoke.

at 20:1 you need to add 6.4 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas.

Here's a nifty calculator for various ratios:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/oilfuelcalc.html

Enter 1 gallon of gas, then change the ratio number and then press calculate and the number of ounces per gallon will be displayed.

Gas/ oil mixture

If it is a riding lawn mower it is probably not a two cycle engine so there would not be a gas oil mixture. It must be a 5 horse power or higher so it would use straight gas. I hope this will help you. donnyb60
