completly remove speaker cover untill you can see the electronics. there will be a box with 6 setting screws. on the bottom row of screws , look for the screw with the letter r under it . verry verry slowly turn that screw counter clock wise untill the picture clears up . good luck

these tv's have a problem with bad crt's you could try to replace the red but a better choice would be all three

When a red crt goes out and wont light its usually another reason such as a transistor or even faulty CRT pc board that causes it since the set powers up the other two tubes. Go to this link and leave them an email and list the model number and tell them the symptoms they will help you out with it, they are real good with the RCa sets. If the red tube was shot it would cause the set to go into shutdown or throw red retrace lines across the screen. Heres the link,
