Polaroid/Vivitar Instant Slide printer bulb. Where do I get the bulb?

The bulb which is just below the inserted light bulb is missing as is the included extra bulb. Manual suggests getting a GE 212 or equivalent. The internet gives the GE212-2 as a replacement, but it is tubular and will not work.

SOURCE: CAN'T GET IT TO WORK

Same problem, tried flipping it every which way with no luck - both the light itself and the arm that hold it. Finally, when trying to change the batteries, I noticed that they battery housing was odd: usually the positive end of the battery is against the node, and the negative end against the spring. This is true for one of the batteries, but for the other one has to turn it backwards, so that the positive end is against the spring. This is the only time I have seen a battery go in that way, and so naturally I had not looked for -/+ labels, but had just put the batteries in the housing in the way one would assume they go. When I changed the one around (and it was labeled that way), it solved the problem and the light came on. I don't know if I just got lucky, but you might as well try and see if it works for you.

SOURCE: I need a 24V/150W bulb

Check the list of available lamps at: www.bulbman.com !! If you have the 3-alpha (a 3-letter ANSI designation unique to each lamp design) lamp code it will be easier to find it.... Good Luck !!

    • 3 Select from high, medium or low for photo quality. The higher the quality the faster the camera will drain the battery. Be sure to use flash for indoor photos.
    • 4 Hold the capture button slightly. This will let the camera figure out the correct F-stop and light reading.
    • 5 Take the camera adjust the aperture on the lens and focus your subject in the LCD screen on the back.

I have not used this camera in years and assume that film battery is dead - green light flashes and also wondering if tab is not on the film - how do I get out. Is there a place other than film to put...

Polaroid 600 film cameras only have a single battery, built into the film packs. To remove the film pack, open the door on the door and grip the sides of the pack and slide it out.

How do i load the film

There's a sliding catch on the left side of the camera (as viewed from the front) at the forward edge. Slide it and the lower front panel drops down to reveal the loading slot. Insert the photo pack (you may need to remove an old empty photo pack first).

If the new photo pack is an original Polaroid one, then because they are all so old and far out of date then you may find that the battery is totally dead or has just enough power to eject the cover slide and perhaps one photo. If that is the case either convert your camera to accept an external 6v dc power supply before using the expensive photo pack or buy a freshly manufactured compatible pack from The Impossible Project.

I have the polaroid pogo. how do i open battery door?

Assuming it is the PoGo instant mobile printer ... (and not a digital camera - category that you posted your question) ... slide the battery door cover downwards to open.
See the illustration in the 5th page of the manual (under installing and charging the battery): http://office.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/polaroid/cza10011.html

Hi! I own a vivitar slide printer. It turns on but the shutter release button does not work. No audible click. Nothing! I tried the timer button and I started getting an annoying whistling sound I could...

Hi, I just got the vivitar too, and had the exact same issue.
The unit WILL NOT FIRE unless the slide is inserted along with the little removable "film holder" frame that comes with the vivitar. Hopefully you got this with your unit. There is some sort of thickness sensor in the slide slot, so both a slide and the holder (or something of similar thickness) to get the unit to work. Mine fires with no problem now. And I found that the "high pitched whistling" goes away if you let the printer sit turned on for a while, I think it's just the flash capacitor getting used to being charged. My unit has no noise anymore. Best of luck.

Polaroid Spectra 1200si

Check to see if the film is still good because if it is not the built in battery might have died. Check to make sure that the film was going in the correct way and that nothing was blockin the film pack from going in.

I can't get the light to come on.

Sounds like your black screen shutter is not opening allowing light to pass through. Try it with the carousel and slides installed. Run a few passes.
