Problem for D-Link DI-704P Router
Can't connect to to http address
Every time I try to begin the configuration for my DWL-G710 range extender, when I type thehttp://192.168.0.30/ in the URL, Google tells me it can't find this address and instead gives me a list of suggested web pages. My D-Link instructions say to type the above in the URL and then a page showing where I can put in my username and Password will come up. But, this doesn't happen-- I use a Mac

What is your computers IP address. If you are not on the same network, then it won't let you connect to the device. Try plugging your computer directly into the range extender first, with an ethernet cable. Then check your computer for an IP. To do this follow these steps:
XP: click start> then run> type "cmd" and hit enter.
type "ipconfig" and hit enter, it should show you a default gateway address, that is the number you should type in your browser (IE: internet explorer)
Vista: click start> then in the start search type "cmd" and hit enter.
Type "ipconfig" and hit enter, it should show you a default gateway address, that is the number you should type in your browser (IE: internet explorer)
