No RF out


Some VCR's have the ability to switch off the RF output. You should look under the tuning menu of the VCR.

RF MODULATOR HOOKUP
For a TV with only a RF input jack, a RF Modulator can be used to hookup DVD players, DVD recorders and other devices which output RCA composite video and audio. For example, analog cable TV can be connected using a RG-6 type coaxial cable to a VCR or older DVD recorder's analog cable ready tuner RF input. Then as shown above, the output can be connected to the TV thru the RF modulator. The modulator outputs on channel 3 or 4 for the older TV so the TV is set to channel 3 or 4. Some RF modulators are built-in to Audio/Video switch boxes. These allow multiple RCA inputs along with RF input.

two ways of connecting VCR with Analog TV with DTV tuner.
DTV tuner (RF) output to VCR (RF) input,VCR (RF) output to analog TV (RF) input.
turn DTV tuner on (VCR should have a TV\VCR switch that makes signal coming from tuner BYPASS VHS right into TV) note:: change channel FROM tuner.You should be able to record by placing a blank tape and pressing RECORD.
2ND. DTV tuner, VCR, should have a RCA in\out connections...Audio & video.You need a RF\RCA bypass switch. It has a INput with RCA connections to a RF signal out that goes to the RF Input of analog TV

When ever i dead key the mic on med rf power i get a humming or bumble bee sound through my talkback same thing on high rf power i changed the coax it helped it for low rf power and tried new mic but had...


Thats because your Rf is powerful on high settings..try taping a AM radio "ferrite bar" to your coax in the back of radio for "RF filtering". Keep your power supply 15 inches away from radio. I recommend unhooking talkback on radios (it always causes feedback). But make sure speaker is good distance from the radio. I'd say 10 feet or so, behind radio. Change external speakers or add one with a long cord.

Can not make the instalation betwen my tv and my dvd player


Most DVD players today have only RCA jacks for video and audio outputs, and don't have RF (channel 3 or 4) outputs. If your TV doesn't have AV input jacks (either too old or just not supplied on your model) you can't connect the DVD player directly. You'll need to get an RF converter to make the connection.

An RF converter costs about $15 and you'll find them where you can buy TVs. The converter takes the video and audio signals from the DVD player and creates a channel 3 or 4 output signal to your TV. If you don't have the cables already, make sure to get them too. You need a "dubbing cable" (RCA plugs on the ends, usually color-coded red, white and yellow) to connect the DVD player to the converter input jacks and an RF cable with "F connectors" on the ends for the output to the TV. Often the dubbing cable comes with a new DVD player, and the RF cable with the RF converter.

ok. This is a really easy one.
All you have to do is hold down the menu button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds, If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds. If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the actual vcr unit for 15 seconds. The first method should work for Panasonic's fine.
This will then display your current rf output.
You can then change the output by using the up and down arrows or the channel up and down button on your remote or the vcr unit.
Press menu button to save or the same button you used to bring up the rf opposition eg power button on remote or the unit.

URC-9910 remote: The RF part for this remote stopped working.


I have the same remote as yours and occasionally the RF remote is not working due the interference signal from outside or next door at certain hours.
My suggestions:
(1) To relocate the receiver and reposition the anntena for better reception of the RF signal from the remote unit.
(2) Replaced the battery.

Need a compositeoutput (F connector) for the Startech SVID4101R


Hi, If your TV has only an F input connector, then chances are that it can only accept an RF (TV/Cable) signal. On the other hand your video/signal source puts out a composite video signal (presumably with audio likewise). What you need is an interface converter or more commonly called "RF Box or RF Modulator". This is a device that embeds your audio/video signal into an RF signal transmitting at a TV channel (commonly 3 or 4). These devices are commercially available. You have to specify whether stereo or mono and what color system is being used in your country such as NTSC, PAL, Secam etc. A fine example is RadioShack's RF Modulator Model: 15-2526, Catalog #: 15-2526 (http://www.radioshack.com). A work around is to use an old VCR where you can plug into its RCA Audio/Video INput your signal source and connect its RF out to the F connector of your TV via a short RG59 Coaxial cable terminated both ends with FP-5 connectors.. You have to select either 3 or 4 (as the case may be) in your TV and set your VCR to VTR operations. Hope this be of some help/idea.
