Re: Sony 46 inch XBR3

Since you have a lit power light, you are getting AC power.

Your set either has a blown internal fuse (or circuit breaker) or a power supply problem. If you can reset its breaker or replace its fuse, you may be able to fix it yourself. If not you need professional service.

Good luck! :)

Switch ON the TV, at least two times, and make sure about how many times do this front LED blinks, at one time switch ON. These blinks are fault indications. From the number of blinks occur, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside the TV. If you wish to know more about the blinking codes and other details try this link. Pull up older posts there by its left side bar. Blinking codes to many brand TVs are given in detail.

My picture would go out after several minutes but I still had sound. I took the rear cover off and blew all the dust off with compresed air.I did this for a few times over several days nothing happened.I also took off the rear circuit board that attaches to the tube with a round pin socket and blew that with compressed air and put it back on. The TV has now worked for two days without the picture going out. It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Picture and sound problem at 21" sony waga color tv

This is due to problem in deflection area and power supply section malfunction. Make one general service by technical person immediately to avoid major transformer failure problem. Since this is initial stage, the cost of repair is probably less.
