Are you sure the battery is good? Test it for cranking amps? Check specific gravity of electrolyte?

A fully charged battery should start the vehicle - now if a good battery loses its charge then some circuit is discharging the battery when car is not being used. Need to locate the circuit responsible and take action to remedy.

2008 Land Rover battery keeps dieing. Change battery, change alternator

If it dies while the truck is sitting turned off, then you have an active circuit in the truck which should not be on (e.g. glove box or underhood light). To find the cause, an ammeter on one of the battery cables will show you a current drain and you can then pull fuses until the drain stops to find which circuit it is.
If the battery is draining while the truck is running, it is not charging properly. This usually means the battery is shot (even a new one - do a load test) or the alternator regulator is faulty or you have a wiring/grounding problem in the charging circuit.

What would cause a batt drain on a 1998 vw jetta after sitting over night

Alot of things. Could be a short or a bad diode in the alternator. Or even as simple as a bad relay.

BATT fuse dead short in 1995 yukon

You don't need to replace the fuse box , an you don't have a dead short to ground ! The fuse would blow ! You have a parasitic drain on that fuse . You need to go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams an power distribution diagrams , see what all other fuse's are feed from that an pull them out one at a time till the draw stops. There are some good videos on youtube showing how to do this ! How To Perform Parasitic Draw Test EricTheCarGuy You'll need a DVOM !

I have a 2003 sopercrew with 5.4 The battery o was told tested good but it still is dead some of the mornings ? No lights , radio, or accessories left on

Possible intermittant internal short inside the battery causing this issue. The life expantancy of an automotive battery is 5yrs. Anything older can cause problems. Also possible intermittant parasitic draw causing the battery to deplete. If the battery is old I would suggest starting with a replacement and go from there.

Buick parts diagram

Sounds like you might have what's called a parasitic draw on your battery. Parasitic draw is an electrical component staying on after you turn the car off (that isn't supposed to be staying on) and draining the battery over night. This can be caused by a multitude of things- the light in the glovebox staying on, an aftermarket accessory incorrectly installed to your vehicle, or malfunctioning, a factory component in the car malfunctioning and staying on, a power seat switch stuck on... the list goes on and on. The easiest things to check would be your dome lights, trunk lights, sun visor lights, glove box lights, and seat switches. Make sure the lights are all off after you take the key out and close the doors. Make sure none of the power seat switches are stuck on. If you can't find anything checking the lights and seats, you're going to need a digital multimeter connected to the battery to measure amps, to measure the actual parasitic draw. Once you establish how much parasitic draw there is (30 MilliAmps or less is acceptable), you're going to need to start pulling fuses one at a time to find out where the parasitic draw is coming from. When you pull a fuse and the parasitic draw on the meter goes away, you've isolated the circuit. Then you'll need to find what on that circuit is using power when it shouldn't be.
Good Luck :)

I have a brand new battery My car is a 96 saturn Sl every weekend I have to get my battery jumped after my car has set for 24 hours or more the lights are not on the locks do stick but I make sure they...

First get your battery tested for state of health and CCA (cold crank amperage the rating is on the battery label) This may indicate a poor battery condition or a bad cell in the battery. Most likely you still have a parasitic draw issue. That is something is drawing down the battery over time (like a light on). One little map light on could cause a draw of only 300milliamps (1/3 of an amp), but will deplete your battery over 2-3 days to the point it doesn't have enough amperage to start your car. Make sure you don't have an after market alarm, or radio that could cause a draw, and ensure nothing is plugged into any cig lighter. Other than that you'll have to have a technician do a parasitic draw test to isolate the draw.
