Problem for Culligan Sediment Water Filter
No salt leaving Culligan softener during regen

I have a culligan medalist series water softener. No salt is being used and I must have hard water--spotty dishes etc. The regen comes on and it looks like it's working but again, no salt is ever being used.

I don't know Culligan brand exactly. If you can, watch a full regen, and see if the brine tank gets filled with water sometime in that cycle.

It sounds like your salt in your salt compartment is stuck. Poor about a couple of gallons of hot water on top of your salt and see if that will break it up and fall down to the bottom of your salt container. Then regenerate your softener after about 3 hours have gone by. You should be back in business.
