Question about Roper RAS8445KQ Top Load Washer
Probably has a bad motor coupler between motor and transmission. Remove 2 screws in front or in back of console on ends. Shake console back and forth while pulling up. It will raise up in front and pivot back. Disconnect plug for lid switch on washer top. Remove 2 gold colored clips with flat blade screwdriver. Make note of how they go in first. Open lid and grab washer cabinet and pull forward, lifting washer cabinet off frame. Remove pump with 2 clips. Remove 2 screws holding motor clips. Remove clips. Remove motor. Look for broken fingers on coupler. Should have 3 on motor and transmission parts of coupler. If not, replace coupler. Very common part.
When re-assembling, tilt back cabinet and put front edge under frame. Then lower cabinet to base. Make sure sides are in frame. Install clips by hitting down with palm of hand. Install connector. Lower and install console screws.
