Re: Re no red
It's likely one of two things then. it could be the cable that you are using or the actual jack that it is connected to. i would try a new/different cable first. this is great news as i'm sure you know because a new bulb for a projector is not very cheap!

LOOKS LIKE DEFINITELY SOMETHING HAPPENED DURING TRANSPORTATION. Very unusual issue. It is the best to run test patterns in service mode to figure out if problem created before of after Optical block. If red stripe present in optical test patterns - that's mean optics is bad or something is laying on the lens. Unfortunately I can not tell you how to do that because if you will make any mistake during getting out of test paterns mode your TV could stack with white raster forever and total system re-initialization have to be performed in service center. But first you can carefully remove screen and look at optical block lens - maybe something blocking it. I doubt it though because it is red stripe, not the dark one. So next step - call tech to run patterns and determine if optics is bad. If distortion is absent during test patterns - than it is issue if digital nature and created by TV's electronics on main chassis. I personally think that during transportation something happened to red LCD part of the optical and optical block have to be refurbished or replaced. Good luck with this one! Russ.
could be the bulb. I would hook up a DVD/Blu-ray to this test and make sure it isn't anything with your computer. if you have the same problem with a different device, it's likely time for a new bulb.
use you're remote to enter code mute 183 while tv is on then press 7 for red 8 for green and 9 for blue control. arrows or knobbie will move cursor. if you still can not control the red you will need to change the red convergence ic...press perfect focus to save changes if pf is not on remote maybe on tv if neither you will need to get a remote that has it to save info.
I am actually having the same problem. I just reciently installed a new bulb and messing around in the service menus, and ended up with the same problem. I found that if if in the same menu the aging pattern was in, I think it was the last menu, and click on the EW RESET, let the TV reset and that should fix your problem.
I have a sharp xr10x ..........the problem lies in the bulb it needs a warmer temprature for the gas to expand in the bulb to fire and light up... hold a hair dryer up to the side of it fo a while and then fire it up still holding the haidryer up to it till it starts it may take a couple tries... ( this is a fix if your having a no buld startup problem and you know your bulb is still good) THIS IS THE FIX IF**** the lights will blink green for a while then one red and one green then will (shut off at both red) and not restart***
i had the same problem and thought id have to get a new bulb but this is the fix....
the big converence ics like SK----- as they go bad your covergence with shift and shift and become unjustable..need to replace them.
the bulbs? if your messing with CRTS dont or even try turning the yokes. sometimes it takes me hours and days to put all back right what the customer did....alot of times if you call my shop and said you were working on it Id tell you to call somebody else.
good luck
