Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player
I purchased my Zune about a month ago. I only charge it in the car. I used it like I regularly do and the next day I turned it on to shuffle mode and it started listed all the songs very rapidly not playing them individually. Then I tried playing just one song and it did it again...listing all my songs rapidly not stopping to play a song....not sure what to do....very frustrated!
Just reset the Zune by holding the left button and the up portion of the center control continuously until the screen goes blank. Release both and the unit will reboot.
Here's a Youtube showing the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BqqlDwtYbQ
If this doesn't work, contact MS to get a warranty replacement.
Assuming it does work, be sure to check that you have the latest version of the Zune SW as new units are usually several versions old and updating your unit will make it more reliable in my experience.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
