Question about HP Pavillion G50-111NR Notebook
The startup of the laptop is too slow.. plz help..
Warning before you do this make sure u back up your stuff cuz if ur not experienced it might do more damage than good.
this will bring up the menus that deal with how ur computer starts up....im going to assume that u have vista seeing as the model is fairly new so its also going to ask for u to press okay since its annoying that way .
click the start up tab and then go down the list to see what u can disable
my advice is disable anything with aol, itunes, limewire*torrent programs* and other programs that are not really useful...however doant disable explorer, defender or anything that has to do with your antivirus since these are needed for your own protection then click okay and restart and you should see a change.
one more thing if its getting to be too slow consider a memory up grade

Slow startup is caused by programs that initialize during startup. THings like MSN messenger, any VPN software, or just about anything that runs in your system tray (down by the clock) try removing things from your startup folder and setting programs not to start when windows starts.
You can also shut down these programs from the run menu by running the msconfig command...but I suggest you research what you're turning off before you try that...as you could disable wanted processes,
Hope this helps.
